If your going to withold any information don't even tell you'r doing it. Thats just teasing the crowd of readers and posters and doesn't do any good. And what would be so dangerous about giving us the URL?

If anyone for some strange reason is goinig to withold any information, vital or not, the least thing they can do is shut up about it since it's just creating controversies.

And to the topic. Don't think thats something of E.T. origin even thou I can understand you thinkin in that direction. I would hold a finger on a crashed B-2 bomber like many others have, or perhaps a hovercraft experiment going wrong? But considering the other image proof posted (:up
of this beeing a crashed bomber thats the final fact I'll stick to as well.

And again, I don't see any reason for anyone of us posting here to withold information from eachother unless we have a fairly good explanation for it.

Edit: Correction some typing errors, but guess there are more. Sorry for any bad english!

Simply type "crashed B-2" into Google Images and you will see the results evident. images.google.co.nz...

The picture was taken from Popular Mechanics website article on a B2 crash and edited. The original was in color and was missing all the overlayed text.

my bat-senses were tingling.....

the forgers are going to have to up their game in a BIG way to get one past ATS.

got to admit, that B-2 held up pretty well for crashing and all. these are not 'normal' aircraft. those pilots will be pushing pencils for the rest of their careers.

Hey, returning from a long absence. I found this picture on a website that will currently remain unnamed.

What do you make of this?

It is clearly man made. Looks like a light skeletion with a thin skin. Mostlikely a hover craft.

The real intresting thing is the date. I believe it shows that the UFO phenomenon was being studied by the government long curently understood by UFO ologists...

Looks like some kind of conventional or possibly non conventional design. Correct me if I'm wrong but doesn't black smoke mean some sort of petroleum combustible is burning?

sorry that i got fired up, but the civilians on this sight hav got to get their act together. those of you who fail to read through 2 pages of thread wouldn't last an hour in my unit. i think this is nearing epidemic levels here at ATS and i intend on starting a thread about it.

That is beneath my subjective flashes of brilliance and I resent your implying I'm a dunderhead for not reading all the way through.
Just because I already knew it/know it all, doesn't mean I should try and fit in.

Wow...

Props to both of you for the quick debunk.

As for not posting the url, two ideas come to mind:

1. You randomly found the picture online and decided to try and get cred at this site with it - if so, weak sauce...

2. You actually did find it on a site promoting it to be something other than what it is; if so, you really should give up the url so the site can be tagged as bogus.

Otherwise...once again - weak sauce.

It does look like it would be part of the fuselage of a B2-bomber but it wasnt in any sort of test operation until at least the early 80's. i dnt think the jet engine was around in the 40s

There is no creditability at stake. The person asked a question and all we did was answer it. Sure, maybe we should read the thread before answering it, but that's not what you do with a thread. You post man post!

First look I could tell it was that B2 which crashed recently.. as proven by that pi c on the first page

It," The aircraft " appears to be one of the early tailless flying wings, which American and German aircraft manufactorers were experimenting with during the later years of WW2. As an after thought.I should have thought an alien craft capable of traveling in space and entering atmospheres, like that of Earth, would be far more hardy and even almost indestructable, yet the one in your photograph appears to be very vulnerable.
