Believing no-one without any evidence is a good idea, but personally I put a lot more faith in what the likes of Dr Mitchell says as opposed to - and I hate to sterotype here but it's too early to do anything else - the regular redneck in the woods type witness.

You're right that anything is possible - well apart from me hooking up with Cristina Scabbia - and that leads us onto whether or not we are being prepared for some kind of disclosure by certain elements of the mainstream media. I just don't know myself, but as you say, anything is possible.

Back to my original point though, I think it's fair to trust certain people more than others. Then again, perhaps that's just human nature. Who knows.

Hi Rob,

Satisfy with seeing that you are back on ats. Your celebrity allows you to make speak about many interesting things or no, then take advantage has about it to speak about Soccer Aid, I hope to go there, keep me a place next to you; in the fact I was right for your knee?

Why would i go away for 6 weeks for publicity?
Im lazy...If i was that way inclined i'd of thought up something less time consuming......
The ''just for publicity thing''
i dont have to do or say anything...im in them all the time..without any input from me....
And i take acception(not that its intermated here) that people would think that of me.....
but if they do......what can i do?

If anything, the UFO-subject makes you less shallow than what tabloids would like to see you as, period. Who cares what people think.

I dont know whats up with the _javascript think btw. Ask Springer/Mark.

Rob's program on Radio 4 with Jon Ronson was fascinating. I've always had an interest in space and the possibilities of ET life but that kick started it for me. Now I'm obsessed with searching for new stories on the web, thanks Rob !

In my opinion it's great people in the media spotlight come forward. It gets people who sail through life accepting the norm thinking....

Personally, I've always had an interest in space and the possibilities on ET life but the program by Rob with Jon Ronson on BBC Radio 4 got me thinking about it more seriously... even to the point where I have an obsession with seeking out new information, cheers Rob
.

In my opinion the more people in the media spot light that do this kind of stuff the better!

can I tell the owner of limewire you said that? I'm sure he'd love that. (yes he's a friend).

Truth is, I had never heard any of your songs but gave a listen when I first heard you were hanging out here and yes, I do have one on the zen - via napster to go so I did, in a way, pay for it.

I think Mr.Williams is doing the UFO community a service in a way. It takes some guts to be one of the first mainstream people to stand up and say things so clearly, knowing you will be ridiculed. Well either guts, mental illness or heavy drug usage, i'll go with guts though on this one.

I'm sure the press will continue to eviscerate the man but in the end the press are nothing more than the most horrible of people for the most part, trying to tear down anyone they can to get a bit of juicy gossip going and money coming in. You have to wonder about people who make their lives destroying others, but i guess that is off topic.

Anyway Mr.Williams has my thanks and praise, although i'm still not sure on the whole alien visiting earth issue, i fully believe in strange craft flying around our atmospehere. Whether it's the government with advanced technology or aliens doesn't matter, in the end it proves we could clean up our planet tomorrow with such advances.

I think everyone has dreamt about it once or twice in their life..rich n famous..
Stuff that.. Rich n anonymous would do me.

Well isn't that the truth, i'd much prefer to be middle class and anonymous than rich and famous. Seems it's changed noe and everyone wants to be famous, i'll never understand it.

Yeah isn't that a fact.
Being in the same business as Rob('s dad)
.. I get my fair share of attention..just on a smaller scale..
Let me tell you.. it's fun when you want it but a pain when you don't.

A Cruise liner,Holiday resort or Hotel becomes a very small place when you get up to 'naughties'.

I have the advantage of stepping outside and I'm no-one though..
Without that I'd be a jibbering mess.

Sure 'Santa' and 'Shearder' and a few others here will say exactly the same.

Brad Pitt used to walk around NYC, riding the subways at times, in a ski mask during the summer and fall.

A ski mask in NYC? That's asking for trouble, hehe....

Well, I guess we'll see a lot of "Mork" tie-ins....

Well i think celebrities can express whatever they feel on their mind and hearts whatever they want to do it. The problem i think is the tabloids who just want to make a buck very fast and they would risk putting more stuff and "enlarge" the story, but hey thats what they do..we cant blame them! . Celebrity knows this (tabloids)..and they have to live with it.

Do Celebrities will make a difference in the ufology is more come out and say their feelings?? probably...would they make disclosure come just all of sudden? i dont think so, that takes time.

Anyway, chris is good to see you again pal around here making fun of us earthlings

have fun pal!

So I'm not the only one?! I was once looking up at the moon through my telescope (which is only a cheap one I got for Christmas, but still quite good) and I saw something move across the moon, like a satellite or something orbiting around it. Just moving across the face of the moon. It was really weird..

---

Anyway, onto the topic..
I think it could be a good thing that Robbie Williams has come out and said that he believes in Aliens and UFO etc. I do think it will help our community, but at the same time (of course) there is going to be a lot of criticism and nastiness directed at Robbie which is amplified even more because he's a celebrity, which sucks. And of course our community will also get a lot of the same, which also sucks. But (unfortunately) that's just how it's always been. So that's normal in a sense.

The good thing is, the times are changing and UFOs and things are starting to appear less crazy, you know? People are starting to see that fringe topics might not be all that unbelievable. There just feels to be a real awakening going on and disclosure of sorts and I think Robbie and Dan Akroyd bringing mainstream attention to these topics will only help speed it along.

So I don't really think that Robbie's involvement in this community and these topics will hurt the community - well not as much it will help
