Any navy ship carrying SOC personnel and/or Marines are fully capable of anything, not JUST invading Iran. Which isn't to say that we won't invade them. And the fact the French has stationed their War planes on our decks since their ship needs repairs, is just perfect situation for them to stay with the Allies Powers in case something did go down. Seems the old crew is gettin back together, wonder if Russia korea iran iraq and china will have anything to say for this.

Iam no where close to an expert or even informed on naval travel. but wouldnt it be like 5 or 6 months to steam over to Iran from North Carolina? Dosent the story elude that 2 days after the deadline we will begin the blockade?

Plus when was the last time the French were any helpful to us? Sorry French people, no hate, just kinda cant forget not being able to fly over your air space to complete a mission.

Russia & China have a lot more to gain by staying out of this ...arms sales ..oil from iran...and more US debt to them. I dont expect them to do much more than protest our actions.

If nothing happens with America going to war expect another 911 type incident to be played out and then they will put blame on Iran and other supposed "Terrorist" groups. Justify the ignorance of invading Iran. Iran will be defeated but then you'll have the Russians coming to defend their piece of the pie in oil fields.

The Chinese are recovering from the earthquake massacre. Give them time and they'll join either side in the war.

Have no fear Russia will defend Iran at the drop of a hat. They have binding agreements to do so. As for China chiming in, well they also have similar agreements with Iran and are positioned to cut off the straights of Hormuz if necessary.

Should the blockade occur, expect Russia to move on Israel as Israel has threatened to take out the oil line into the Caspian sea. Nothing like a little insurance policy to keep the line open.

If Russia goes against Israel, they will hit it from two directions, the Med and across Turkey. The US is not so much favored in Turkey anymore since accusing them of genocide. Hitting Israel from two sides would require the US to fight on two fronts. Through the straights and in the Med. Though we are already in Iraq, that is little consolation due to the location of a two pronged attack by Russia. All that is left is for Iran to chime in and your forces are on three to four fronts battle footing.

The next point is China would not have committed it forces at this point and the US would be in a world of hurt in an indefensible position. So being opportunistic, China tosses in its army. For the US to have a chance of victory would require the 24 min solution. With an exchange between China, the US and Russia. At this point put your head between your legs and kiss your arse good bye. The EU is left unopposed as the world leader.

Peace in the Middle East, yep at least for awhile but sooner or later they will start fighting again. Think it won't happen, just wait, film at 11. When, near future but not necessarily today or tomorrow. More likely before 2015 and I do not mean 2012.

Militarily the Middle East is a giant crap sandwich and the US has already taken a big bite. We have pledged to protect Israel form the Arabs, OK, but that doesn't give the right to do an unprovoked attack on another country (Iraq) or future (Iran).

Granted, given the chance Iran would wipe Israel off the map (not going to happen). However, they know that they can not do it alone. Though they are looking for any excuse to jump. Russia has a major problem with Israel and really not sure why. Russia has made plans for attacking Israel and Iran can hardly wait. So it is really only a matter of time before the hat drops. Will the straights be the linch pin? We will just have to wait and see.

Yes, we will be debating this for the next year and the next year and the next. It's all propaganda. This is the Cuban Missile Crisis all over again. It will be worked out diplomatically with harsh words and threats (as there has been for years and years). There will not be a nuclear war there will not be a new war, Israel will not attack, Russia will not stop our missile shield, they will not bomb it, they will not "Strategically" place bomber in Cuba. We can not go on stressing all this. The economy will recoup as it always has. Will we have set backs, of course, review history. The 60's, 70's, 80's early 90's all had economical "crisis" as we are suffering now, some aspects worse than we are now, some not so much, each had there drama which spelled the end of the dollar, each took time and each recouped. There are many debates to be had on this subject as it runs much much deeper, of course. It all leads to this subject and your question particular due to the simple fact that it all boils down to the dollar. A new war will cause inflation like we have never seen due to the printing of more paper to support it, those who hold our debts will drop the dollar, blah blah blah.

Though I have gone on a garrulous rant here, the simple answer: Yes, you will find a similar post(s) years from now. Doomdayers want to rave it all out of proportion...like it or not the government has it covered, you'll be a bit poorer but safe.

Why is it that everyone wants, wishes, prays for this WWIII or alien take overs, reptile creatures, nukes in a suitcase? Learn your history, I'm not talking your high school history, or college, heck for that matter the history courses I took in grad school weren't even accurate. You need real history. If you need to ask me where to learn real history...well...all I can say is ask1 2 b 1. This has been happening throughout history, every decade. Your lose of faith in humanity is exacerbated by your trust in the media and all your hollywood movies. Are there a lot of unanswered questions, of course, are there a lot of confused people, of course. Are you one of them, of course. I'm I? Not as much as you, but sure. Live your life, search for your answers, ask your questions kid, but know this, just because you are just now (or in recent years whatever your case may be) reading conspiracy fiction doesn't mean that these "issues" haven't been going on at the higher levels of government since the dawn of civilization, each and every time, though there have been down times, societies survive. You'll be fine, be smart, be prepared. If it makes you feel better build a bomb shelter, wear a tinfoil hat, stock up on gold, sliver, rice, flour and canned good. Buy a few guns, whatever. Your war is not going to happen.

Why do we protect Israel?
There have been many holocausts (Armenia, Palestine etc)
The Jews rejected Christ & still continue to do so.
America thinks it owns the worlds future but it does NOT, The worlds future is Everyone's's God given right.
I think if America can have it then every other country can also in regards to nuclear energy.
Israel has nukes but it doesn't have to conform?
