Joining ATS : wierd phone calls, IPs outside your house? wiretapping?

I don't think so. I have heard Coast2Coastam many times. This happened only a rare few times. So of course it struck me as very odd and I wondered if George Nory was hearing what I was. But he had to, because this has been happening a few times, when I'm conversing with somebody over the phone.

I recall clearly one time, arguing about something, and then I said Osama Bin Laden, and I heard the phone go into echo mode. It was extremely odd. I felt like I was in a big cement chamber, talking to my friend from a distance, with our conversation bouncing off walls, and therefore echoing. That is just what that sounds like. I imagine it to be the case, maybe these guys think, anybody who goes to ATS has reason to be a terrorist. And then they scout you down, and they check up on you.They wire tap your phone. After all, the ones who are really in on their secrets, or know something, have to be somewhere like here. I don't know, I'm thinking something like that is the case.

Once upon a time you would hear pops/clicks/echos from a phone tap, however in the modern era of digital telephones there is NO noise at all when someone is listening.

On the otherhand if a stalker is physically tapping your line outside your house these types of things would still occur. For example, I have an OLD lineman's talk-box. If I don't replace the dry cell battery and I hook it up to a line it ussually creates an echo or a decrease in volume on the line. But if the battery is working it only makes a quiet click when you attach it. But remember, I'm talking about 30 year old technology here. The modern taps are done through computers so they are perfectly quiet.

Quite odd. Somebody called my house this morning at 6am, when I was sleeping. I had to get up and answer. When I did, it was a machine with a male voice that said, it was Vicki, so I got pissed and hung it up. What is up with that? I wonder who has the time of day to be calling me of all people. Go bug the Super Moderators, lol, they can handle it, they ooze ATS out of their pores. Go bother them. Those guys probably have the connections on here to track those freaks down too!

I noticed this has happened to George Nory on CoasttoCoastam, many times when talking with guests, the dialog becomes echoing and it sounds like they are in a spacious room where their voices bounce off the walls, even though that isn't really the case.

I don't think you read my post, where I said I couldn't log into my previous ATS account. I even tried getting a new password,and I still could not log in with it. That is why I had to make a new one.

I got a weird phone call the other day... a spanish accent came on the machine and yelled at me to pick up the phone and talk to them, then they said the f word and hung up. LOL.

Thing that's been pissing me off lately is were on the no call list, yet cellualar call coes up on the caller id, and it's someone I don't know trying to sell me something. Grrr....

Strange subtle background sound, which always alert me to a tapping, and phone calls, then hanging up, started in full force only when I started writing actively on 2 forums. And again visiting for weeks, with one of my computers, the strange phone calls started when they weren't happening previously. Seems too much of a coincidence. When I feel like a tapping is taking place, I always make sure I tell them what I'm thinking of them.

I rather slam that sucker, and not say a word. My aunt gave me a good piece of advice, just leave people hanging, don't say a thing, sometimes silence hurts louder than words. But of course, that advice was for relationships... but hey still works. I just don't know who has the money and the effort to do this... I do have ATT&T, and according to many people, The ATT&T is an evil company along with AOL and Time Warner Cable. I will probably switch to Verizon. I can't remember what the other phone companies were. That is how memorable those two have become in my mind... so much that I can remember them pretty instantly... but the other companies didn't leave a good imprint on my memory.

But I am sorry to say I have never spoke up before (it sounds so paranoid) I am not a paranoid person. At least I wasn't till al this stuff started happening. I have even had visits from black unmarked helicopters

I tried posting on this. But the worst part about this forum is the flack you take from people, when you are explaining the weird things that go in your life.
Bizarre that people would join a forum to discuss conspiracies, and yet be so judgmental and have so much denial when they are provided with such occurrences.
In my opinion most of us who post in here are candidates for the rex 44 camps when whatever is coming down the pipe happens.

Also forgot to mention. I haven't had a ticket in three years... so what you say? I speed everywhere I cant help it I cant drive a car and not speed. And well the thing is I never get pulled over, there has been lots of times where I have been well over the posted limit and I have had a cop car pull up behind me (I assume run my plate) then they just come out from behind me and take off past me... recently I was driving my son to his grandmothers to spend the night. I am driving down a hill and a city cop sport utility pulls in behind me. The other lane is free but he stay's behind me tailgating me. Up ahead the road splits, a long turn to the right or straight and to the left (I am going right) he waits until the bottom of the hill and just as I am entering my turn I hear his engine race, he pulls out from behind me and draws parallel with me and shines one of of those really bright cop car lights in my face... I mean W.T.F. was that? I have my wife and kid in the car. You can say whatever you like I know what he was trying do do there are no street lights on that road so your night vision is super sensitive. The prick waited till just the right moment to do what he did. I mean what can you say? I haven't told anyone about that because I cant prove it and who would believe a cop would do something like that

Yea, Its true. We are not the stereotypical good American I guess. Because we question our own government. I'm not gonna sit back and be content knowing that so many people died on 9/11 in the most horrific way. There is always the possibility that our own CIA turned into bad guys and made it happen. Even if that is the only truth, and they don't want the world to know, I want to know that they are looking into the toll, of what the job duties are causing to these people's minds. To make them do a 360 on their country.

LOL, I had that very same problem with the previous account I signed up here with. Seems one of the big bosses didn't like my post and deleted my password and sign up email from there database. I tried to tell em but they ignored me and still do when the subject is brought up in a thread. Funny thing is my old account shows as an active member but I no longer am allowed access to it.

Imagine they do that alot.........

Many phone solicitation companies have gone to an automated system that tracks when you are home. It calls at all hours to see when you answer, then takes that information and passes it on to the live sloicitors, who then know the best time to call and get a response.
We get these calls all the time, even though we are on the "no call" list.
As for the clicks and echoes, unless you have secret service dolphins living nearby, I wouldn't worry too much about it.

I don't know about that.
I think its an intimidation tactic. I am 32 years old and I have been using a phone since the seventies. I am familiar with all their quirks and I am telling you, the weird click's and echo's are a new thing.
I don't doubt that if they didn't want to be discovered listening in on your conversations, you would never know. I think the idea here is that you do think that they are

My phone is always clicking, beeping or going silent when I am on the thing. Its been that way for years and I've had the phone company out several times checking the lines. I have gone through several wireless phones and land-line phones. So I know its not the phone thats whacked.

It goes like this, either I place or receive a call, there will suddenly be a beep beep tone almost inaudible. My sister hears it and knows that momentarily after those beeps the phone will go silent for a moment. I replaced the phones and still it occurs.

One day I get a call and its a radio station with back ground music playing with this guy telling me I won. What, I don't know, but he said there call sign letters and continued to talk. Suddenly my phone went dead, the guy came back on and went hello, hello, and I said hello and he continued to tell me I won with snazzy station music going.

Than loud noises like different tones started and the guy is going wth and saying hello and I'm saying hello and theres other noises coming out of the phone till finally the guy goes What the hell is going on here and the line goes dead.

Just the other day a family member called and the line went dead for no reason. The family member called back and said why did I hang up, which I said I didn't.

Spooks on the line is my guess.

Hrm, well let me first respond to a few things you guys said then Ill tell my story chich is a heck of a lot more interesting. No offense.

Ive heard clicks and pops and echos etc.... It does seem to be increasing, but I usually dont get them on a cellphone. Im sure when the government computers start randomly recording you can probably hear something.
I dont buy into them being perfectly silent, you have to reroute thru them some how to be recorded.

Also are you using a land line? If so thats your problem. If its a land line your phone number was given to solicitors. Its that simple really.

To the other guy yeah Ive had police put a light right in my face in the middle of a street with no lights. Next time Im going to swurve into them. It would be their fault, and I need a new paint job. And a good lawsuit, I keep a lawyer on retainer.

Ive had them pull up behind me and run my plates, even put their brights on. Then take off after they figure out Im not a problem or drunk.

But then again my plates arent registered to me =)

This seems to be plain ole police stuff.

I though it was weird that I was getting calls from Kazakhstan and somewhere in South America...same thing with the auto coverage calls.

I’ve experienced nothing out of the ordinary after participating on the boards. I guess I’m not lucky enough to warrant government attention? Okay with me, I don’t know a thing they’d be interest in. Unless they want to listen to me gab about my theories, or read my e-mails about a disease that makes you eat yourself.

My story, and Ive never shared it either. Im not even sure I should talk about it. When you are being watched you know, you wont come on here and post wondering if you are or not.

Shortly after I joined ATS and started posting, I noticed a newer model white van with extremely dark windows parked just down the street.
You know the ones with big mirriors on the side?
I know a lot about them since Ive had private detectives follow me before. Those mirrors are real handy.

Anyhow the first night I noticed it I didnt think anything I just made a mental note. But the van started showing up every night to every other night about 8 to 9pm. Mainly when it started getting dark.
And no one ever got out of the van.

I used my binoculars to try and see in it to taunt them. They started moving the van around everynight. Like parking it on the other side of my house etc...

At this point I got very very mad because it was obvious. Id leave to go get something from the store around 9 or 10 so I pulled up behind them and flashed my brights at them. Still couldnt see anyone in the van.

A couple nights later, they pulled right behind me and followed me to the store. They didnt even care if I knew they were following me. Anyhow really really mad now, so I walk out to their van the next night and walk around it in a circle with a camcorder filming them back lol. I can be an *** because I am not scared of the government.

I have since relocated, mainly because of this incident. Who ever it is can look at my bank records because I was not posting from that location. Also where Im at we dont have a GPS system for the police so they wouldnt be tracking my phone.

After I relocated I started using cash for my rent, and they havent showed up here yet so I think thats pretty much it. Im not sure if it has anything to do with ATS but thats just what happend to me.

Post hoc ergo propter hoc. Because X happens after Y, does not mean X caused Y.

There are over 100,000 ATS members. The government does not have the time or inclination to monitor every single person on this board, nor would there be a reason they need to given the fact that nothing is posted on here that can't be found elsewhere on the internet.

There are numerous people on ATS who are convinced the government is watching them. Even though there are completely normal explanations for everything they claim - bad cellphone reception causes echos, modern phone wire tapping would not cause any tapping noises, etc. they choose to believe the government is watching. It really comes down to a need and a strong desire to feel special. People want to think they've figured something else, and it validates their self-worth if they believe they are worthy enough to be watched.
