It is very clear that al Maliki would like the US troops out of Iraq within 2 years and is close to the same timeline that Obama proposed. I don't see how you can see it any other way.

In the end, I guess I have to give the American people some credit. Many of them apparently are smart enough to see through the unending load of liberal garbage that the media is trying to spoon feed them and how they've been trying to influence this (and past) elections.

If thats when their able to support themselves, we'll leave. The leap is to say this is the date we will get out. Maliki and most Iraqis want to get on with their lives and know they need the US there until they are able to help themselves. Its simply a fact, so Obama can keep saying whatever he wants. Its all politics.
When asked when he thinks U.S. troops should leave Iraq, al-Maliki told the magazine, "As soon as possible, as far as we are concerned."
He added, "U.S. presidential candidate Barack Obama is right when he talks about 16 months."

I completely disagree and dont think you even really know what you're talking about. You're buying in to the politcal hype and not reading very carefuly.

Face it if the media was so biased against conservatives Al Gore would have won in 2000 and if the media were so biased in favor of liberals John Kerry would not have gotten the trashing he did in 2004.

Have any of you ever considered the reason Obama is getting so much coverage is the is the historic character of his campaign as the first black person to have a legitimate shot at the white house.
