Alien Autopsy Photo (?)

To be quite honest, most of the aliens in the videos and photographs I've seen look like a cross between the work of a pro at the Jim Henson Creature Shop and a rookie special effects artist's first flesh wound on CSI:Miami.

This one, however, makes me a little uncomfortable:

I first saw it on the following "Real Aliens" video (at 2:32):

I did a little digging for its origins and couldn't find anything, short of it being from a "recent" autopsy. (realscifi.fotopages.com...)
Does anyone know anything about this? There's something about the mouth and the wrinkles around the eyes-it's very detailed. The skin texture doesn't look like oiled up latex either-it looks like...skin.

I get the sense that I'm looking at something that once had a soul too.
It makes me wonder how/why it died. (assuming it's dead...)

I've seen the other photos before, but that one in particular was striking. (I didn't realize it was of the same alien) I guess it would be damn good photography then.

Steve Johnson - man, great work. I could of sworn that that head was also featured on Todd Master's old gallery page - must have been one that was really similar.

Not to mention that many of the other images in the "real alien" video were also pulled from recognizable sources - the X files (sheesh ! - the one with the breathing hose hooked up) and the Roswell cable movie with Kyle MacLaughlin as Jesse Marcel. That was also a Steve Johnson project and one of the best IMHO.
