Since you joined ATS do you spend much, if any, time on other forums or discussion groups? Have you found that ATS is where you spend most of your internet forum and discussion time?

I'm always here. Best place to be.
Unless I'm feeling a little Vamp freaky.

I think it's interesting to know what kind of discussion ATS members enjoy, as well as ATS of course.

In my case, I'll typically check out what's been happening in my guild (I play Eternal lands) and sometimes some online gaming (Once again with my guild). I by far spend the most time here in ATSland. Mostly perusing the BTS section though. I like the almost social club atmosphere here. On occasion I'll get interested in something that may or may not appear in the forums here and go chasing off after it doing research.

For example:
I started thinking of a model kit of a spacecraft design from back in the 60's. It was a serious design for a interplanetary ship. The drive was a NERVA drive. This lead to doing a general hunt for information on the drive system itself. This lead to more website hoppings and more.

You see how it goes. Sometimes I go from Point A to point B to Point C etc. Like a lot of peoples trains of thoughts. However there are times when Mine jumps from A directly to C just because it didn't feel like stopping at B. (Grin)

I spend more time on a KISS message board than I do here.

Yes, a Christian forum. After almost a year of membership I have approximately 100 posts. After seven months on ATS I have over 2,600 posts. That should tell the whole story.

Nope. ATS is my home. I belong to the Stephen King board, but spend no time there. Why would I? ATS is the best board on the planet! A more diverse group I've never found, and probably never will. I consider ATS my family.

~Whispering~

I'd like to claim I'm loyal, but I have this confession. I'm cheating on ATS with another forum. Sure ATS gives me the stability and happiness in the log term, but there are certain things a poster needs that is strictly short-term.

This forum is no joke and is great. I just need some variety in my life. Please trust me that the other forums don't mean anything to me and ATS is always on my mind!

Sound familiar!

That comment made me think of this:

We're all cheating on ATS then because we are on BTS at the moment. It's like having an affair with your significant other's sibling.

Unless I'm shopping online (mostly at Christmas) I'm pretty much here....BTS that is. I stop by ATS sometimes, I just cant' think of too many intelligent things to say over there besides, "yeah, great video, looks fake". hehe And they don't really appreciate my 'Rush humor' over there. They need to lighten up. Or I need to be more serious.....whatever....that's not the point......what is the point.....on yeah, other websites.

And I can't justify even more time away from the family with yet another site, so I am BTS/a little ATS exclusive.

But that's not to say I don't spend a lot of time here. I do. But I have 22,400+ posts there for christ's sake.

It's funny, I was just thinking - I wonder if I've been spending too much time at ATS/BTS, because this is the only forum to which I devote significant portions of my time. This is the only place where I find so many fascinating and relevant topics, why go anywhere else?

One big advantage ATS and BTS has is numbers, there are always people online and posting, so that would make it more popular than say a board that gets 20 posts a day or less and the only topic of interest on that board has faded out after 3 replies! And you do get a broader range of replies to a topic at ATS and BTS.

Interesting to know what other interests my friends at ATS have on the net. Thanks for all the replies guys.
