I've never started a thread but I had a thought while watching Larry King last night that I would like to share and hear some ideas on.

The reason I believe we will never fully be privy to the disclosure of aliens or off-world technology is because our whole lives will change in ways that would make it very difficult to function normally. Imagine if disclosure happens tomorrow and we are exposed to off world technology and alien beings...don't you think our lives would be dramatically turned around?

Our cities, transportation, clothing, religion, science, food, education etc...our whole paradigm would shift in a way that many people will feel displaced and uncomfortable in their own skin. How do you propose society would be affected if the technology in Star Wars or Star Trek became science fact in a month or two after disclosure. How could you cope, how could you trust what you use to know?

I guess the part about the cities, transportation, science etc really hit me. Would the governments of the world begin to redesign the way we live our lives? Who would decide what technologies we are allowed to use? Just think how health care alone will change, or even life expectancy. I know I'm asking many questions, but as of right now that is all I have...questions

I already 'know' that life does indeed exist on other planets and that we have all kinds of visitors to earth on a regular and permanent basis.

That said, Life will not change for me personally but I will look forward to finding out how advanced "We" are...

What about the technology aspect, wouldn't our way of life be obsolete? I wasn't really too concerned that people would freak out that aliens are real, I was more interested in how will our lives begin to change

What if the technologies have been here all along?

What if the reason that technology exploded geometrically in the 20th Century is because by creating a better quality of life for more people, we have proved to be progressively more worthy of the gifts that are available to us?

What if, at the end of the day, all we have to do is shed our pain and our pride in order to receive it all? I don't know the answers, but I am willing to give it a try. It seems like a win/win situation to me.

I already do as well, as well my children do. Disclosure is absolutely necessary for this world as a first step in transforming our tribal warfare into peace. We really are being quarantined and deemed unworthy of entering the true space age. Abductees/contactees have relayed the message that the government was supposed to disclose quite some time ago. They agreed to, and have been putting it off indefinately, trying to manifest the whole nwo fascist state and cling to their stolen power, stolen from us I might add. If they don't disclose I hope our visitors will force it like they have threatened.

I'm getting a strong visual of cities being redeveloped, roads being torn down, text books being rewritten and people being educated on the "new way" of life across the board....from poor to rich. Wouldn't that visual be quite stunning and breathtaking? How would we cope with that, wouldn't there be some resistance.

How could the "governments" of the world orchestrate such a societal makeover?

I'm trying to look past the "aliens are real" part of disclosure. I don't think the masses would have such a hard time with that as much as they would the outcome of everyday life.

I guess I know one thing, sociologists and philosophers would be much more in demand...

I think I could handle it better if it is aliens.I don't think I could handle it if it's military let me explain.I've always believed in alien life and the fact that aliens would visit us would not surprise me at all.

If ufo's are military it would piss me off to no end.If ufo's are military then why in the hell didn't we use the tech to find Sadaam? If ufo tech is military then why in the hell don't we use it to find Bin Ladin?

If we do have alien tech why in the hell are we still hooked on oil? If ufo's really exist, then it sure as hell better be aliens because if its not then you will see anger and riots in the streets because of that fact, not from some panic about an alien invasion.

Tricky, I understand what you're saying, but how do you propose we as a population be given the information/technologies that comes along with alien life being integrated with our everyday lives? How could we swallow that pill, would we have to go to classes and be "re-educated"?

As for the military thing, I think that the military does have mind blowing technologies, but what part of the military? Black ops, etc...? I'm a firm believer in one hand doesn't know what the other is doing when it comes to that. I'm also a firm believer that what we see on TV is not the real show, it's just that...a show.

You damn well know we could of been off oil by now. Oil is just another way to keep us where "they" want us...it plays a huge part in their ongoing script.

Please understand, it does not matter when disclosure is brought about, now or ten years down the road. There will always be people who can not, or even do not want their reality changed. And so what, change never hurt anyone. It`s staying stagnant that kills our world. Maybe a shake up is due and the aliens know this. Maybe this is what it will take to open our eyes on the outside and inside both. We need it people, before we ruin ourselves spiritually.

To be honest as much as I want it I dont think we are ready or deserve it.We cant get along with our own species much less a different one.We can't tolerate humans of a different faith or those that have no faith at all.We still have people living on the streets. We abuse our very own children. We can't take care of our elderly like we should. This up coming election is another example. You have people in panic mode over the fact that a black man just may become president.

How do I propose we get this info?I have no clue.Ultimately I don't think it will come from any goverment if it comes at all.We as a species will have to be changed by some outside force or as Reagan once said a shared threat that would bring us all together.Disclosure will have to be forced and if it does happen it won't be because the powers that be think we have a right to know I'm sorry to say.I believe this thou,we are on the verge of something changing.I have no clue what the change will be or how it will come about but my gut tells me its gonna happen and soon.

I could handle Real disclosure, and I think humanity could as well, we are very adaptable.. But I would be very skeptical of the actual disclosure.. It would all depend on the means of it, and by who was disclosing... and the actual nature of the disclosure.. I would think it would be a win win. it would most likely level the playing field of so much political and economical bullying in the world , and I hope overall it would unite us, more that separate us. For most people I think it would enlighten them to a new understanding of who we are... We have such a small grasp on our actual scale and the scale of the universe that it would be humbling to better understand our surroundings.
