There was nothing lost in translation, the Chinese are very racist against any race other than Chinese. This is mostly due to lack of education. The
majority of Chinese have never seen a person of color albeit white, black, red or pink with purple poka dots. They are also told that people with
green eyes are devils.
They spit everywhere, throw their trash in the street, relieve themselves in public, smoke everywhere with total lack of consideration of others.
Waiting your turn in line, common table manors, obeying traffic laws are just not in there book as something to do. Personal hygiene is lacking, some
up north only take a bath twice in their lives, you figure out which two times. 500 million do not brush their teeth. I think you get the picture.
Even Beijing said the people are uncivilized.
Now tell me, are you surprised that they would tell people not to serve people of color?
Hope you were not expecting normal western standards, they just don't have them. Hong Kong and Macao are different from the mainland however.
Before you decide to jump and flame me, I have lived on the mainland for over 5 years and even with its short comings, China is the safest place I
have ever lived. Even the ladies can walk down the street alone after dark unescorted without fear of being bothered. Now try that in the US!
One poster said something about "commie bastards" well I guess you are uninformed regarding the people. The people pay about as much attention to
Beijing as my dog does. 30,000 restaurants were told to stop allowing smoking in them during the Olympics, 29,999 paid no attention only one did and
it went out of business because of it.
They are more capitalist than the average American, much to Beijing's mental anguish. Making a RMB/CNY is number one and they will charge you extra
if they can get away with it. That is not to mean that there is no oppression, there is if you happen to be on their poo poo list.
Oh, BTW, the Chinese are not poor, they just want you to believe that they are.
