Do any ATS'ers live in South West Florida?

Today around 11am to noonish there was a fly over by to f-18's or f22's at high speed @ only about 500-600 ft altitude. They where headed south going really fast. I could ghear them about 40 seconds before I saw them. I have lived in S.W.F. fo r 5 years and the only time we see fighter jets is at the Ft. Myers beach air shows. It was pretty close to southwest international airport. The commericial air traffic stopped for about 10 minutes before, and 10 minutes after they came thu here!

Anybody know what's up with that? Is Cuba doing bad things again?

probably an exercise as the AvonPark range is pretty close to that area. I have lived in Orlando for 31 years and have seen naval and airforce planes including the F-117 landing at our int'l airport here. They routinely fly combat-training out of Macdill AFB, Pensacola NAS, down to the Avon Park weapons range. You probably saw f-18's on a training exercise. It is a pretty common occurence.
