That gave me goosebumps in the best way possible! We are all just just one race of people. Let the world wake up and...and...well, dance!

OK! I got to throw this one in here. If you can do all that the words say in this video then you have lived.

All those videos are inspirational and I loved Team Hoyt.

This thread is such a breath of fresh air amongst the plethora of depressing and otherwise sad threads about our current state of affairs in the world today. We need good feeling things like this once in a while to remind us to stop and smile. The world is not as bad as it is made out to be always.

Ok ill add one too:

Well, great. Now I'm a crying, blubbering mess. Had to click on the link. Had to click the play button. And then the next one. And the next one. And the next. And now I'm a mess. Smeared mascara. Runny nose. Great.

These videos are so good. I especially enjoyed the Free Hugs one. And the Matt Dancing video always makes me remember this world is full of beautiful people. Look at all of those happy faces (well, except the poor DMZ guard, but anyway). Kills me how much hate there is perpetuated by the few, when there are so many beautiful and creative people in the world.

Off to find the Kleenex.

"Stream of Life"

The same stream of life that runs through my veins night and day
runs through the world and dances in rhythmic measures.

It is the same life that shoots in joy through the dust of the earth
in numberless blades of grass
and breaks into tumultuous waves of leaves and flowers.

It is the same life that is rocked in the ocean-cradle of birth
and of death, in ebb and in flow.

I feel my limbs are made glorious by the touch of this world of life.
And my pride is from the life-throb of ages dancing in my blood this moment.

These are the lyrics of praan, the music played in the video, and they really say it all.

Beautiful poem.

I know what you are going through and I'm a bloke
My eyes leaked so much that I couldn't see the monitor
But I ran out of Kleenex and had to resort to a slice of pan loaf
Very soft and good soakage too!

Anyway this threat has probably been the most touching of all on ATS for me because it actually touches on Humanity

This one brings back some memories. It would be so nice to turn on the news and hear that no crimes were committed, no blood was spilled, nothing but good news. Maybe some day.

But I honestly think that if the human race didn't go through the bad and witness all the atrocities that has happened and will happen in the futre, then we would never learn how to be good.

I find it interesting that the OP wanted to share something he found that made him feel good, and the response was that people wanted to make others feel good in turn by posting what they have found. I believe this is the natural response - to pay it forward. Make people feel good and they want to share it. Giving creates more giving, and feelings of being connected. (In contrast, taking makes people feel disconnected.) Can you see how that ripples throughout the world? That is a true economy. Much better than the take and tax system that has enslaved us. I believe this is the secret the bankers do not want us to realize - instead of doing something with the idea that it will come back to you naturally, they have created debt and contracts so that a person is required, through force, to pay back (or else).

What? You say a pay-it-forward economy could never work? Well you are not allowed in that economy then. People already participate in this type of economy with their friends and family. It is built on trust, not contracts, which inherently imply distrust. If you need something, it will be provided. An awesome case study for the pay-it-forward concept is what occurs at the "Burning Man" Festival (look it up). Money is not allowed there. (It's not even a barter system, where a deal is made and something is expected in return.) If you are thirsty and out of drink, you simply ask the nearest human. He is not worried about repayment because when he is thirsty, he knows he can ask another, and so forth. The true power in this system comes from the way it makes everybody feel connected. We really are all brothers and sisters.

On a total side note, if you don't feel anything at all from these videos; if they seem silly and pointless, or a waste of resources, then there is something very important that you should be aware of. The Sociopath does not feel emotion the way others do. They tend to be over-logical. Emotion is considered a weakness in the Sociopathic way of thinking. That's not to say that anybody who doesn't feel moved is a Sociopath. There are too many other factors that can be involved, but it may be something to consider if you find that real lack of emotion is a constant in your life.

You are all right,

For weeks now I have been reading and researching on impending doom and destruction, how we all want to kill or dominate each other, how the powers that be want to rule or destroy us. I actually started to feel a little hopeless.

Threads like this gives a nice reminder into the other side of humanity, the side we long for. Just by reading the other posts and watching the videos has lighted me up magnificently.

I really do feel positive, I hope the rest of you do to.

Peace to all

Lestat

Excellent thread and some great posts and videos.

I find it insulting when people tarnish all of humanity with the same brush. It's truly ignorant. The politicians and other people of this world who lie, cheat, deceive and kill are a minority. The good people, out number these fools by a billion to one and it will be because of that fact, that humanity will come to it's senses and we will prevail. To give up hope, is to lie down and die!!!!! Those in power want us to live in fear and see nothing but war, death and destruction. But it doesn't have to be that way. Together, we have the power to change it.

If you didn't understand why the OP video was uplifting, then you probably never will. That's no reason to consider it less worthy of our attention than your video.
