I seldom log into ATS, but read it quite a bit.

Whenever I log in, and get a chance to see the Avatars of the people I have been reading for a long time, I am frequently shocked!

My opinion of the posters I've been following never improves by seeing their Avatars. Frequently, it goes down a little. Or a lot.

Avatars, ATS points, and other trappings -- they are just a distraction from the site content, which has made this place famous.

Sorry for the brutal honesty. I am being superficial about something that itself is superficial, I know that.

You are into martial arts and Zen Buddhism, a bit of a geek and a loner, with a loving mother, but a somewhat stern and un-nuturing father, and you are the youngest of three children, somewhat spoiled as a kid - just taking a shot.. how'd I do?

I myself never go by the avatar, but base things mostly on what people are writing, however I have had the same thing happen to me where I thought another member to be male, but was female. LOL.

I don't recall now whom it wa, but anyway, I'll bite, what do you all think mine says about me?

I picture you as being in your late 30's-mid 40's. I picture you driving a Volkswagen or a Volvo with the same coexist bumper sticker on it. I imagine that you lean towards hippie ideals. I picture you as a woman but it could go either way. Your name also makes me think you are a woman.

Karl, for me...I think that your avatar is sexy!! I love that guy. What my impression of you based on your avatar is: you are kind to a point, but you really don't and won't take crap off of people!

If I may...based solely on your avatar...you are disgusted with the world, slightly depressed perhaps and a little lonely. You long for people to listen to what you have to say, but are tired of hearing your own voice...

My impression of you has always been a woman in her 40's. I usually picture you as a brunette, mainly because of your avatar. I think your avatar also makes me think that you are short. Now, Tempe in your name makes me picture you as Hispanic. That is a confusing part though because normally, I would take that to mean that you are from Tempe but your location says Cape Cod....

Beyond that, everything else is a reach for me.

You are awkward with people most of the time and have trouble adjusting to your surroundings. You want more out of what life is right now, everything just seems out of place and people around seem to either not understand you or just dont want to.

Your spirit is dissolved everyday by humdrum activities. Once in awhile someone understands you and you feel you can open up to them, but you realise later that it is just a front, a mask, and you become disappointed with all aspects of human nature. It's all a cycle until something changes.
Thats what i see at least.

Well, i am Cuban-American, i am 5'4", on the short side, and i am very late into my 40's.
When i found this website, i lived in Tempe, Arizona, but moved back home to Cape Cod 2 years later!

Very good.

As far as the other posters take: I am kind of lonely since my entire family lives away from me, and i AM disgusted with world issues. I love my company though, i amuse myself and look forward to my trips and visits from my dear family.

You are both very good!!!!!

And Karl, you are awesome and always a gentleman.

Everything except for being awkward and being able to adjust to my surroundings is ABSOLUTELY CORRECT.

You people scare me

I see a woman, who is disturbed by how the world is today. However she has a heart that grows more as she witnesses the last bastions of kindness that people show now and then. I see a balance scale in your heart where hope and faith in mankind is weighing more heavy than malice and evil. You are excited to see what is to come and you wish to be at the head of it.

Ill do Karl as i've read a lot of his (i assume
) posts and i like to think i have a good picture of his online personality.

You are a realist (as others have stated) and tend not to get over excited about new theories/finds as others might. You would rather dip your feet into the pool before swimming, or dip them in the pool and not swim at all, as an analogy. You give off a semi-nihilist image and project yourself as someone who has seen this, done that.

Nothing personal, thats just what i drew.

Do I dare...?

Meh, go for it, do me.
