Well see heres the weird thing...if we did go back in time and lets say someone saw the UFO and it did change the course of history,we would never know becasue it would equal itself out. So yes they could have changed history and we will never know and their existance in the future wouldnt know either...because hmm i think once it happens it would erase all other memory or life of things so you would never know what the actual outcome of your going back in time and doing a certain thing would be. THAT IS unless you were the people that went back in time and affected its change. Then when you went back to your home time you could see the several different things that you did to the future. This is very difficult for me to put in words and i dont think im doing a good job at it. Much more clear in my brain than on this threat. Oh well if i confuse anyone let me know and i will try to iron out the wrinckle

Does anybody remember back when those Ray Bradbury short stories were turned into a series? (can't remember the name). Anyways, there was an episode where these guys would go back in time on a safari hunt for dinosaurs. There was this hovering walkway that they used so they wouldn't harm anything, and they only hunted a dinosaur they knew was going to die that day (don't ask me how they knew, can't remember). Anyhow, one of them freaked, and fired off his machine gun, fell off the path, and onto a dragonfly.

They came back to the present (future), and found everything in German!!!

On the Grandfather Paradox:

It is impossible to change history because if you go back in time, you are part of history, whatever you do has already happened and you cannot change anything.

Or, when you change the event, the path of history branches off and you leave your previous dimension, perhaps never to return.

P.S. Has anyone read Timeline by Michael Chrichton, it deals with time travel.

I think that is seriously the single wisest thing I've heard in a long time. Wow I can't believe I never thought of that one.. *smacks forehead*

Anyone ever seen the movie "8 Monkeys"? Very weird movie, brings up strange thoughts about time travel.

um.. it's twelve monkeys actually. unless you are thinking of another movie involving monkeys and time travel. Yours had brad pitt and bruce willis in it right? If so then it was twelve monkeys. a very good movie, very confusing.

This cannot happen at all !!!!!First of all because these are not aliens(the ufo's i meant) and secondly they are not comin from the future!!!
Have you ever consider the possibility that these vechicles are human-made and they are coming from our space and time???
This is the most reasonable !!!But i know that people are fascinated by the extra-ordinary....

Reasonable? That humans, at this time and period have technology that negates gravity without audible noise or visible exhaust, technology that can abduct humans on rays of light? Technology that can do all the things reported by abductees and witnesses. Is this something you think that humans have the capability to do at the moment. This theory is just as far-fetched as the others, if not more.

I was thinking and scientists think that there is 10 dimensions in our universe. We as of now only know 4? Now lets say in one of the other 6 dimensions....there within our world co-exists another world. We live on with them and dont even know it. Now what if everyonce in awhile we see blips from their dimension due to some natural reaction. This giving the appearance of a strong light.

I read a book by a former NSA agent. He said he was in contact with the greys. He also said he was told by a grey contact that they were not bound by the physical aspects of time, like we are. They age, and have life spans, maybe shorter than ours, but time is not an obstacle.

He asked them if time travel is possible after being told this. They said it was not, that to travel through time, there must exist a basic reference point to measure from, a "Zero".

They explained that they did not travel through time, but around it...(interesting concept)

Anyone have any thoughts?

i like joey hayner's ideas on time travel, because to actually go back in time wouldn't really be going back in time..because you'd be setting a whole new "time"...
And it's kind of hard to grasp the concept of a future, because if it hasn't occured yet, then how can it exist?

I've got a theory that all possible futures exist simultaneously. We just choose one based on our vibrational frequency which is based on our (conscious & unconscious) thoughts, feelings and beliefs.

There are different you's, (e.g. the you that ate breakfast this morning and the you that did not). Something like that tv show "sliders"...

maybe by this they mean using wormholes.

do you think that maybe black holes could be an opening for a worm hole?

lol Yeah the movie is Twelve Monkeys. I got confused..But I got the monkey part of the name right at least..

I doubt black holes could be worm hole entrances. If something did get into it without being crushed by the gravity I doubt it would lead anywhere besides to the event horizon. But what do I know..black holes confuse the hell out of me. It's all speculation..

Personally I doubt time travel is possible. If somehow it was pulled off I believe it would begin the unravel of the universe itself by distorting the space time continuim, confusing the present with the past and the future and ripping time itself into shreds. But that's my opinion and haven't studied any of this before so please don't throw rocks at me if I'm totally wrong here.

I think Joe and Bandit have made good points here.

The vibrational aspect has been voiced before as a possible way that aliens are able to abduct ppl through solid walls etc .i.e. the abductees frequency is changed slightly so that whilst they are still visible (as in the Linda Cortile case) they are also able to move through solid objects.

The point about travelling around time also makes sense to me in that rather then travelling through something, it would be far more efficient to abstract yourself into another dimension or brane and somehow move to another point or perhaps wait for that point to come to you and then just drop back in. Of course, you first have to get out of the brane that you're in and then know where to drop back in again, but it does sound kinda more feasible then having to sift through all the sh|T inposed by these 4 dimensions we have...

at least in my head it does

Traveling around time must mean hyperspace. I doubt that it would be a black hole they used, because the black hole would have to, if it was a worm hole, have an exit...a white hole, that repels matter.

These have not been discovered yet. So I will assume, for now, that they travel through hyperspace.

Exactly what hyperspace is, I do not know.

What if the greys are, as you said, humans from the future? Perhaps they have travelled back in time to alter the course of human evolution so that they would have reproductive capacities and wouldn't have to rely on cloning? It would make sense if you believe that they are abducting humans for their DNA, which they need for cloning, as if they weren'y human, why would they try to breed with a different species???

Just my over active imagination getting carried away, no need to take this seriously

Hmm cloning is a good point to bring up. Why would humans in the future need to rely on cloning? Do our sex organs disappear?
*shakes head*

Maybe there's a war where one gender is completely whiped out or something? Or maybe a plague only affecting one gender? Well whatever the cause..I'm sure it's not too normal to not be able to breed by natural means. Everything in nature reproduces naturally, how else would they exist? So that brings up a new question of where these grey bastards came from.

Prophet, you do raise a very good point on where do these little grey things come from. Some questions though, maybe these things we view as greys is just a space suit and that is why you can't see any visible sex organs. This also would explain why none of the abductees have seen any visible hair.Or maybe another reason...the earth could be overcrowded and in order to protect the well being of it, we started manupulating the DNA so that the next baby that came out wouldnt have a sex organ, and after time evolved only cloned babys were permitted, maybe one a family or something. This is all in my mind, pure speculation...

Anti-gravity vehicles havent been discovered yet but we think thats what the aliens use.
