Bolton: US should help Israel attack Iran

\"We will be blamed for the strike anyway, and certainly feel whatever negative consequences result, so there is compelling logic to make it as successful as possible,\" Bolton said in a Wall Street Journal editorial on Tuesday

I'm shocked that some one would come out and say this
where are the brains of some people?

So can Boltons name go on the terrorist list as well?

What is it with these aged chickenhawks who avoided Viet Nam but now have no problem whatsoever sending young men off as cannon fodder in foreign wars?

Must be a profit in it somewhere.

Let's send Bolton to Iran, let him lead the invasion....I'm sure his tune would quickly turn.

What about Bury and Oldham and Salford. If you'd paid people the right amount of money they'd attack Iran. There's loads of Orthodox Hassids in Salford so they'd be well up for it.

Iran needs to be dealt with. Israel will start the ball rolling and we will be right by their side. Deal with them now, or deal with them later. If we wait till later it could be a nuclear war.

I wonder how many years Bolton spent in the military. Hes probably a chickenhawk just like the rest of the scum that occupy our government. I agree with Yellowcard send him over to fight the war. Put him right on the front lines. This is what you call a strong Israeli lobby in our government that is causing this. All because Iran says Israel should not exist. Hmm.

Problem: We lack the resources to provide useful assistance in this endeavor. Our military, economy, and world influence have suffered markedly during the Bush years. We are stretched thin and the public (rightfully) has no stomach for a new front in Iran.

Iran has nothing to fear from the United States. Israel perhaps, but not us.

Whoa you're volunteering to be first boots on the ground?
Bravo dude, it's about time someone put their ass where their mouth is. "We" will be right behind you. I promise

I think that the President of Iran could be taken out in a manner that encourages the dissenters in Iran to rise up against the government. If you just keep destroying the reactors, they will keep building them as long as the President of Iran is not removed. Why can we not start an insurgency in Iran like they are doing in Iraq?

Are you using the same fantastic intelligence that got us in to this Iraq boondoggle?

"The problem here is that there will always be some uncertainty about how quickly he can acquire nuclear weapons. But we don't want the smoking gun to be a mushroom cloud."

Dr. Rice also said.....

"We know that he has the infrastructure, nuclear scientists to make a nuclear weapon," she told me. "And we know that when the inspectors assessed this after the Gulf War, he was far, far closer to a crude nuclear device than anybody thought -- maybe six months from a crude nuclear device."

?????? ....I believe you.

Do you understand why so many people don't want ANOTHER war???

I would flex my muscles too if some douche-bag threatened to bomb me.
As far as I am concerned Israel can go to hell....

yeah... right behind him... WAY back.

I'm getting pretty tired of this "we have to deal with them" nonsense. We don't even have a shred of evidence to back up anything. And these people want to start a war on those grounds?

This is the whole point of propaganda people. Wake up.
It NEVER IS backed up by actual evidence. It's just suggestion after suggestion, in the end, you start thinking the suggestions ARE the facts.

Iran doesn't want a war, Israel does.

They aren't some evil empire bent on domination. Look at their history.
They haven't invaded anyone since the late 1700's early 1800's!!!
This was back during the dynasty days. When pretty much the whole world was governed by one dynasty or another.

You want to talk about war outside of invasion?
They defended themselves against Iraq... that's about it.

One note of interest. Iran WAS an ally of the states, They even had a very lucrative defense contract signed in 1959.
The US invaded Iraq in the gulf war to defend Kuwait.
Iran both condemned Iraq for invading Kuwait, and the US for overstepping it's boundaries with regards to the oil in Kuwait and Iraq.
... with that said, Iran was no longer an ally of the US, and they even went as far as to completely ban all trade with Iran. Over a comment.

(Iraq was trying to invade Iran around the same time. Essentially, the US and Iran were both fighting Iraq, only, Iran wouldn't overstep it's borders.
... but the US overstepped Kuwaiti borders, and as such, in Iran's eyes, was viewed as an invasion, not a defensive war.)

If you really think Iran is full of crazies who want to damage the world, I seriously suggest you turn off the TV and actually pick up a book about Iran and it's history. Perhaps national geographic, they do some pretty decent pieces. Or even just a world history book.

Iran has no desire for warfare. Statistically, Canada is more likely to invade countries than Iran.

Why does he need to be taken out? What kind of threat does he pose to the US?

Notice, this is the same thing we did in Iraq, and look at where it got us.

Why should anyone be surprised that a reptillian like John Bolton would suggest such a thing? This is the Same John Bolton that armed death squads in Haiti so they could slaughter unarmed protesters.

Bolton is been pay to talk and talk now a day is not cheap in our nation specially when it has to do with spreading warmongering.

I think Israel is paying for his talking head right now.

He would love to start armagedon and he will take money from any country that will pay him good.

Remember the Taiwan scandal?

In January 2001, Jesse Helms endorsed Bolton: "John Bolton is the kind of man with whom I would want to stand at Armageddon, if it should be my lot to be on hand for what is forecast to be the final battle between good and evil in this world."

And, according to the Washington Post (April 9, 2001), Bolton is motivated by more than his ultra-rightwing ideology. He's also been on the payroll of the Taiwan government. According to the Post, over a period of three years in the 1990s and at the time he promoting diplomatic recognition of Taiwan before various congressional committees, Bolton was paid a total of $30,000 by the government of Taiwan for "research papers on UN membership issues involving Taiwan." Bolton has denied that his testimony was in any way tied to the fee paid by the Taiwanese.

Get to know the big dirty fat rats talking heads in washington.

Iran is the main pillar within The Axis of Evil, the sooner this state sponsor of terror is taken out the better. The world will be a better place for the recolonisation of Iran along with the rest of the ME. We can re educate these people just like we did with the German sixty years ago. It worked then, let it work again.

Are you saying because the Iraq intelligence 'might' have been inaccurate that the intelligence will always and forever be inaccurate?
