it seems these days you can construct a poorly built wall from wood & then proceed to throw your own faeces on it and someone will call it art & likely pay you $1million to host it in some empty feeling art gallery. It's a shame that art has to be shocking these days and not just a nice picture of a beautiful landscape.
As for vintage ads/art I've always enjoyed the old WW2 propaganda posters, some were quite humorous but it seems alot of the paranoia is still around today just in a different form

I think that was part of a museum outdoor piece.
