TTR to be closed?

I came across this story, which looks to be from March/April of this year, but I had not heard anything about it at all. Looks like the NNSA is downsizing and may not close the site all together, but will most likely displace around 135 workers and their families according to the Pahrump Valley Times. It will be interesting to see what happens and how much the current operations will be scaled back. I did not see anything current stating the outcome, if any of you have any information to add....please do.

My understanding is they are investigating shutting down the DOE operation at the TTR, which I believe would just be the Sandia Labs facility. I don't believe the USAF will pull out of the base. If you dig around the net, you will find they just expanded the landfill at the TTR.
