man alien im so glad you have a conscience. You are truly a sincere man ever since ive known you.

Teachings get blamed beause of hypocrites.

thats the truth.

I get balmed for hypocrites and all sincere faithfull loving humble believers who pray for people who hate them get judged because of hypocrites.

All ive seen so far in these responses are true men and women with brains who hate religion yet ever word out of their mouths reminds me of a teenager who is yelling at the school outcast, whose tounges are filled with the very thing the preach against.

i truly care for eery person in this forum and im themost hated. Does this make sense? To me it does.

peace.

dont blame it all on religion.

chaeck out this link. www.answersingenesis.org...

Religious people want power, they will fight for it, religious people are not peacefull or loving. True followers of beliefs are very different.

The fact that people use religion as an excuse for war does not mean the concept of religion is evil or the concept produces hate.

Religion has done a lot for the world and still is. Its easy to look on the negatives.

This summer 15,000 chritian teenagers partnering with 500 churches are working on a huge mission in london.
Serving the people, serving london, loving others.

So many times we hear what the church is against we seem to forget what its for. It is for love, its for serving others, its for peace. It was meant to serve and to love, to give and to support. I believe things will change.

The church is increasingly lookig at the church just after jesus and going back to what it was meant to be.

Like I stated at the start of this thread: I don't care who believes in whom. I don't hate religion. It's when you get people of different religions together and they try to prove rights...When they all leave there will be no winner...only upset people. I believe in something but I will not state it here as I will get ridiculed because It's not the norm. I was merely stating what I see. Read just about any of the threads here under religion and you too will see. Like I said: believe what you wish but why try to change anybody elses beliefs? Let it be. Take care all

Maybe we should rename religion into ethnocentrism.

I think religions were and are created to control people.
I'm not sure the REAL god would be happy with a lot of the religious groups walking around today.

ok, to the guy who said something baout the kids doing the service project in london-

yeah thats wonderful, beautiful,, and grand.

the fact that they are helping someone is lovely, and im not being sarcastic, though it may soundlike it. im not!

but i still dont approve of religion. and those church groups going to help people, those people would not be helping anyone for shiat if they werent doing it in the church group.

its like key club. if you wont help people unless you get a heading on your college application and community service hours under your belt, youre just lying.

i like the fact that thes groupd are helping, but those are church retreats for kids.

it has nothing...absolutely nothing to do with "religion."

but thats just me, so who knows! maybe im just a good old non-religious stick in the mud

but i agree with yall, love everybody.

you may hate the things they do, but that doesnt mean you have to hate the person.

because if it was like that...i sure would hate alot of people!

Hmmmmmmmm

Luke 14:26 Jesus says

If any man come unto me, and HATE not his father, mother, wife and children, and brethren and sisters, yea, and his own lift also, he cannot be my disciple.

also Matthew 10:34

Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword........................................................................................................it goes on and gets worse from here.

Those passages were aimed at the Jewish people and supposed to garner support for an uprising against the Roman occupiers. Jesus could never be king of an occupied people, and their inclusion in the Bible was political.
They have nothing to do with the basic underlying meaning of Jesus' teachings.

the basic presepts of christianity are to love your neighbor as yourself.

nuff said. if people aren't following this, then they aren't following the precepts of christianity.
