Didn't know where to post this. I altered some images of Mars surface to show depth and details. I added some effects to show if it was to have flourished growth on land and water. Is there a way I can map this onto a 3d object(sphere shaped) to view it from a "Natural" view? Maybe via Google Earth or such? Not sure on how to do this. I'd be willing to post the final result if I can get direction. Any help would be appriciated.

P.S. Again, sorry if this shouldn't be posted here. Just feel free to point me into the right direction if this occurs.

There are certain programs that will more or less automatically render your height and depth maps into a 3d map but it won't work with just images that we're photoshoped.

You could try the following programs (these will require some sort of knowledge of each indivdual software) :

3Ds Max
Wings 3D (free)
Maya
Blender (free)

Those are the main ones I can think of right now. If you need any help drop me a pm and I shall see what I can do
.

cheers,
