I'm been reading this board for the last 2 months. I find some of the posts very interesting and at the same time creative.
A few moments ago, I just read a post titled 'Islam will win'. This user boasts about how the US is the best country and subtly hints that Islam is
taking over the western world. This is completely inaccurate and he uses no solid evidence to support this.
First of all, I was born into a Hindu family and do not support Islam is anyway. I am atheist in every aspect, but still respect other cultures and
try very hard to learn about them. I've read the Bible, the Quran and even Mahabharatam (hindu bible), Buddha Dharma and even the Torah.
I believe the whole Islamic religion is based on hate. Hate for women, hate for technology, hate of western culture in general. But all these reasons
are the same reason Christianity was feared before the fall of the Roman Empire.
I understand as a Christian, the bible says to not worship any other god except Christ and same goes for the Quran. It says, do not worship anyone
except the prophet Mohamed. But neither of these sources ever state about the acceptance of other gods. Accepting that Islam is a religion and this is
what makes Muslims happy.
As a spiritual/philosophical person, I do not believe that we should ever stand in the way of another ones happiness unless it involves the danger to
someones life. Saying this, I really wish that people would put themselves in the opposite perspectives shoes.
If you were to convert to Islam, your parents would complete disown you. The same goes for Islam. I think the first step to self-realization is being
understanding of other peoples perspectives. For those that dont know, self-realization is knowing the knowledge of the soul. I've read these forums,
and found alot of people have alot of hate in their heart.
Someone once asked Abraham Lincoln before he became president, what religion he follows. He said "When I do good, I feel good; when I do bad, I feel
bad. That's my religion."
I believe this is what everyone should think before they say or do something. Does what I do make me feel good? Why does someone pull over to the side
of the road to help a stranger with a flat tire? Its because of the warm fuzzy feeling you get when you do something good for a person. When you stand
and shoot someone in the face that you've never met and have no reason as to why your shooting this person, it cannot feel good.
There are very few creatures on this Earth that kill their own species. Many fight for food, but never kill the other on purpose. The really
depressing thing is, humans kill themselves even though they are not hunting for food or there is no immediate danger to them and there are plenty of
resources for all of us to live without killing. Humans only do what is neccessary to make sure that they are kept in the genepool and make sure their
own kids survive.
Now back to Islam, the reason there are so many extremist muslims in the world today is because they feel that is all they can do to make sure their
kids survive. I see so many videos of American soldiers being complete morons and completely mistreating innocent Iraqi citizens. I truely believe
that humans have very limited time left on this planet and we really should not spend that time fighting. We should spend that time on understanding
everyones perspectives and understanding and learning everything. I ranted for a few here, but I'm trying to make people understand other peoples
perspective on things.
