hey lets face it!
the woman in question is not a prostitute. .even so i think 6 years would be ridiculous!
has anybody here who spoke against her ever gone out and partied or had a taste of alcohol? have you people ever had sex with another person? i think there are some jealous people there!
has the mood ever taken anybody to want to get really close to someone even though its not the place?
if not then you havent lived yet!!!!
i am a 30 years old male and in my time i have been propositioned by girls i thought were 23+ but were in fact only 17 or so????
IT IS HUMAN NATURE FOR THESE FEELINGS TO MAIFEST THEMSELVES!
regardless of location or surroundings!!!!
the people involved did not expose themselves to children as it was in the night time and if children did see them then i would be more concerned to prosecute the parents for having them out so late!
there are far more worse people in this world: terrosists, oppressors, dictators, rapists, child molestors etc who never see justice???
lets see those people being brought to justice as they should!
on one final note: has anybody ever been in a sexual encounter only to be stopped for some reason??? mobile phone rings, doorbell rings etc to be totally frustrated????
can you just imagine the things going through this womans head and also the guys head when apprehended?
and then to have some form of police tell you youre facing a jail sentence for it!!! ha ha
come on for gods sake
has all mentality gone out the window
i know there are different laws everywhere but i think police etc should concentate on dealing with people such as those i mentioned above:
, oppressors, dictators, rapists, child molestors/abusers
do you really think that everyone in dubaii (police included) obey such laws if the mood takes them?
i could understand a severe caution and maybe expulsion from the country if she was caught before but 6 years jail!!!!!
grow up p1eople

Yeah, well, four years in jail for a 19 year old being with a consenting 17 year old is barbaric as well. From my understanding, this is not something that happens, unless the 19 year old is a repeat offender.

Why what's with the word "barbaric", it means "non-Roman" and "uncivilized"

Having sex on the beach is barbaric.

god, some of these replies are just too similar to televangelists ranting about prostitution and fornication, while their agent makes their midnight appointment. It's sex. People have it. Some people actually go beyond missionary. We aren't talking about pedophelia here. The report was just the cop saw it. She messed with the cop. Charge her with assault; although it should be in keeping with the level of assault. Spitting/touching is a far cry from busting out a cops tooth. Both can be called assault. If children saw it, charge them for that. If adults, then public indecency or whatever charge goes with that. But you are micromanaged, nanny state loving prudes if you honestly think six years is just. Sorry but you will NOT excuse this repressive, religiously inspired behavior, by any nation, through any number of words.

And you with the homer avatar--you got caught having sex in dubai and you've got the gall to chastise this woman from the comfort of your bedroom now that you're safely back at home? That, sir, I will never understand if that be the case.

Does anyone have a pic of this chick. She sounds like my type of lady. A girl that knows what she wants and won't let anyone get in her way of having a mind blowing orgasim. Gigidy-gigidy

Well, some sheople will back any insane law that people come up with. The reason these countries have no technology of their own is because they have such barbaric beliefs. Yes, there are place in the U.S. just as bad, and I avoid those places as well.

The Sun reports she was charged with having sex outside marriage, indecent behaviour in public, being drunk in public and assaulting a police officer.

I could be very wrong but doesn't the USA and UK have the same laws about sex in public? Lets review, indecent behavior in public, yep illegal here in the UK, being drunk in public, well can be illegal in the UK if you're drunk and disorderly, assaulting a police officer, well that's an obvious one.

Whilst many of their laws are horrible i can't find much fault with the ones above, apart from having sex outside marriage, that's a stupid law in my view. However lets think this through, she was in another country! If someone came from Dubai and acted according to their laws in your country, i bet you wouldn't be pleased about it.

Look i'm sorry but it's her own damn fault and she deserves what she gets. When i go abroad i live by the laws of the country i'm in, i do it out of respect for the people of that country and because i don't want to go to prison. It is not for us to say those laws are wrong and so i won't follow them.

The punishment should fit the crime, and this case certainly does not. What time did these activities occur, and was there a public there to watch? Chance are that this was in the middle of the night and the place was empty.

i dont know where is the secluded place here in the open beach, you can see all the place , except by those rocks where theres a lot of guys fishing, and every 1 or 2 hours the police are patrolling the area because in the open beach many crimes have been commited in the past like, rape and killing commited by some nationalities which i will not mention., I am working here for almost a year now and of all the places dont do it on jumeira beach , its the most patrolled area by police and they even have an outpost there so i dont knw what gotten into her.

6 years is too much, but she should definitely be punished.

just think if some parents took their kids to play on the beach
right on the spot where some couple were going at it the night before.
pretty sick huh?

and it is punishable in the USA, its a lewd act.

YOu should go look up the sentence for such an act in your state,
you may be surprised.

Lets see where this thread is at:

This woman accepted a job after agreeing to abide by both company standards and the laws of this country. She was well informed in advance.

She lives there for 3 years and is clearly very knowledgeable with what she should or should not do in public.

She gets caught very drunk and having sex with another partier on a public beach in a public area. The Police Officer is kind enough to let them off with a warning and leaves.

She and her partner then ignore the kind Officer they just lied to and go right back to having sex in a public place knowing full well it is against the law.

The Officer returns and of course is forced to this time enforce the law as he is paid to do.

She uses racial slurs against him and assaults him on top of everything else. I wonder what assaulting an Officer gets you in most countries. I also wonder why this assault on an Officer is ignored in this conversation.

What does all of this mean to those posting here on ATS? It's another excuse for a bunch of silly troll feeding and America bashing and other meaningless nonsense. Even a Mod gets involved.

My only question? In what way is this an ATS Topic and would someone please explain the conspiracy involved? Should this not be a gossip piece somewhere on BTS along side some Spears beaver shot or something?

In America, you can get 10 years in jail (no chance of parole) for having a small amount of the wrong kinds of drugs in your possession.

In UAE, you can get 6 years for having sex in a public area.

Both punishments are stupid. But does that make both countries totally horrible?

It's fun to hate countries that have stupid laws, but if that were the case, I'm sure there were would be very few countries in this world you would love.

It's ridiculous typical over-reacting - afterall they were only having sex - not murdering somone.

Some countries go too far - usually the ones that are over religous.

I think you should get your facts in order.
Jumeirah Beach in Dubai is a public beach and not at all an isolated beach, I have worked and lived there for 3 years and I can tell you that this beach is very popular to family and other a like.
Also news paper reported:
“”She had earlier got drunk during a champagne brunch which turned into an all-day binge.
Michelle Palmer, 30, is alleged to have called the cop a f****** Muslim **** and tried to hit him with her high-heeled shoe before being restrained.””
Now if you are happy to let your kids running a round a beach which is used by people to have booze and sex, then by all means be my guest.
In western country we have nudist beach and most of them private.

I figure when you go to some one else's country you must respect there ways of doing things, there dos and do nots. Having sex on a beach is defiantly a do not, so i think she only has her self to blame, although that sentence seems a little ... harsh.

Well, must really suck for that individual... I've had my fair share of outside wonders with my girly, she thinks its exciting, I also agree.... this one time we were giviner and I looked to my left and to my amazement there was another couple doin it outside on the beach about 20 or 30 meters away too, lol... hilarious, I dont think the cops really care that much here in Canada, I haven't been busted in like 15 years doin things like that with my girlys, and yes they have been seen in the area patrollin around while we do our crazyness, maybe they're just afraid of the dark or something, i dont know...

That reminds me, I had a cop roll up on me the other day while I was drunk, kind of releaving myself against the side of a building when he pulled up with his lights on... did nothing but tell me to have a good night cuz I was able to walk still, said nothing to me about wizzing, lol... sure do love my country...

ergo

learn what the laws are in a country before going there; its also illegal to have sex on the beach *an act of gross indecency* in most countries actually

Dont you just love how us talking monkeys have evolved to such a level that an act like sex which is integral to our survival has now become "an act of gross indecency."

I find it so funny that people can be offended at other people having sex like it's some sort of god-awful spectacle to behold. The only thing funnier would be the mormons, naturally.

I saw this articel today and my first thought was, "What The Hell"
Then I read the articel and even though I'm all for sex anywhere with anyone as long as it's on equal terms I find that you always have to FOLLOW THE LAW of the country you're currently visiting.
