That's right....only 196 days left before GWB trashes the Constitution and refuses to relinquish the presidency.

Nothing. Not even the neocons will accept that. That would be equivalent to suspending the 2nd Amendment. That said, do you think that Obama or McCain will be any different than what you have now?

Sadly, no. I'm on the downhill side of 40, and I've never been so un-inspired. I found Jimmy Carter to be the most ineffective and misguided President in my lifetime, but I'm convinced he was the last to become elected who wasn't annointed before hand by the "power behind the scenes" - whoever that is.

So........I realize we still have a few steps to go before W is officially out, but is there anyone out there who still thinks he won't leave office?

Thank you for plainly stating what I have always thought. I started a thread asking if there is anything can be worse than Bush's legacy, and I have to say if he does leave office I will be surprised. He has done everything else, if he leaves quietly and without incident, I will be more mad.
