I think any man like "dan" with nothing to hide (except what he seen in the woods that night) should be more than happy to share his encounter with the tabloids and let this be known, after all he is posting his event here, and if he can infact have his identity protected, he should.
But... theres only one reason why he wont, and anyone in their right mind knows why...

You know I was almost reeled in at first, almost a case of hook, line and sinker, but something about all of this just seemed a little bit fishy to me, and a little bit out of plaice and I have to say this is probably one of the most outlandish stories I've ever heard barb none. Tuna how difficult this is to believe?

The OP just keeps carping on about how he sawfish man and tried to kill it and expects the whole grouper here to believe him. Oh please, salmon! A goldfishman in your room at night? What utter cobblers, I mean you have clearly haked this up. And why are you being so koi with answers to the questions people have asked you? You are clearly skateing on thin ice with this sole destroying stuff.

Anchovy perfectly honest, minnow that this whole thing is a red herring, and it goes witrout saying that this is just utter codswallop, I have my teeth firmly tenched writing this. Get down off your perch, and pike it in with your silly fishman stories, life isardinenough without having to worry about fishmen in the night.

All that said, it was a great read, and I'm not convinced either way. I really hope it wasn't true thats for shore. Ok, I'll stop it now, no offence meant in the above post to anyone. Fish puns rock and I couldnt help meself, am I forgiven??

And what if this isn't a hoax but was censored as you suggest? How come people can't make up their own minds reading the topics themselves - that's what I understood to be the purpose. People who don't like the topic don't have to read - and even moreso - post to say they don't like the topic - why not just find another topic you do like and contribute there? And I have no doubt everything is being monitored anyway - so trying to be secretive or concerned about unwanted attention is a moot point - 'they' can read or pick up whatever whenever... even thoughts aren't private anymore... so past all that stuff, what if this story is true? Just because it's incredible doesn't make it impossible especially in light of all the other experiences among us. I'm grateful I haven't had such an experience - but don't doubt others have.

Jkrog , why do you so strongly believe Dan's story? What is staring us in the face that we are all ignoring? Do you know this guy personally? Have you met him in real life? You guys keep talking down to other people here with less points than you and ridicule people for not having 5000 pts to join RATS. I know you were asked this before so please enlighten us, what are we missing here? What evidence is staring us in the face? There is no evidence except for some weak pictures that don't prove anything. You really think MUFON and the whole ufo community should be investigating this? It's unbelievable how some people just have this desire to believe and just totally ignore reality and common sense.

For the ammount of shock he would have been in after this so called incident happened, it would have been impossible for him to fall asleep like he said he did, and whats that? His wife fell asleep just as easily after viewing this encounter right in front of her eyes?? No way??
Also, in the state he would have been in, he would have taken some pics eventually of the blood? skin/scales? scattered over his floor from the blood shed. But no ofcourse he didnt savour any evidence! He wasnt even fased enough to comprehend re-percussions, that this creature would return, and maybe even with more of its kind. Wasnt even fased enough to remove his kid out of harms way. Nope, he just, fell...asleep...

First off since you haven't had an experience you won't understand stand what happens during an event.

First mistake is looking at these kinds of events in the way only the human knows things to be when you need to look at events in a way that is really out of the box.

For example our Scientist say for life you need this, this, and this. Well, they are wrong. There are many different life beings and they do not need what we need to exist plain and simple. Experiencers know what I am talking about.

As far as going to sleep right after sorry to say yup this is the way it works and I look forward to the day that the skeptics have there go around and try to tell of it.

As I see it there has to be a winner here and I wait to see who is the winner. Belthermar offered his restaurant up so either he is right and keeps it or Dan the man might come into a new business.

I've read this thread from start to finish and a couple of things dont add up. I know these questions wont get answered but hey what the hell might as weel throw em out there:

When this "fishman" was leaning over the bed, which side of the bed was it on, the side he was lying on or the side his wife was on? It would seem strange that if you wanted to touch someone in a bed without alarming another person in the same bed that you would lean across someone to do so. If the "fishman" was on the wifes side of the bed then how did Dan manage to pull it down towards him and stab it without dragging it across his wife and baby?

Secondly, while he was stabbing the "fishman" he screamed for his wife to throw him the "good news" from his account the room was dark, he was supposedly grappling with another "being" but yet he managed to catch the knife perfectly by the hilt and in one fluid motion use it to bludgeon the crap out of "fishman"

I know if i was fighting anyone let alone a "fishman" and someone threw a knife for me I'd have to be damn lucky to catch the knife perfectly buy the handle and at the same time not receive any defensive punch while catching and all this is in a dark room.

the whole throwing a knife and catching it perfectly is just too Hollywood for me

the whole story actually is very Hollywood but I would love to be proved wrong but i highly doubt that

I'll second that. Ban this guy...it is pretty obvious he has some serious issues.

Dan: Please continue to post here, there are some of us newer members who are not completely close minded and would like to hear updates on your story and how you are doing. Heck, I registered JUST so i could post on this thread. We are not all like that!

There are those going to an extreme to support the story and those going to an extreme to no support it. Is either wrong or disallowed?

The pityful thing is i have never discredited this site, And i guarantee i shall hold more respect due to the fact, That people who are supporting this guy are being called all the names imaginable all over ATS. so as for my opinion being worthless, Means nothing coming from you. Well, I second Belthermar! Apart from the Caps lock and the Bold typing he got more valid points than any of the "violent ecounter with an alien" supporters. The part that Dan, who has some really edgy threads from before this happended suddenly are a victim of an alien encounter. People tend to have this alien encounter AFTER they join ATS.
