How do they get away with this stuff?

Hey guys, I just came to relize how much big sightings and encounters with alien beings, people from earth have made. It's very amazing if you think about it. I mean, like how could the goverment get away with cases like these:

And after when we read these articals, do we just walk away saying, intresting and thats it?, I mean, like how blind can some people get?

Anyway, overall i just wanted to know how they still make us belive that U.F.Os and aliens and all that "other" stuff does not exist, and how some people can just belive that without even thinking about it.
