i don't wish to comment one way or the other as to the authenticity of the video/s in question. but i do wish to make a comment concerning the problem with 'proof positive'.

since the advent of digital photography we find ourselves in something of a quagmire. due to pixel effects, and 'compression' effects we can no longer trust the images we see unless they're taken from an optimum distance, and under the most ideal conditions.

the other part of this 'situation' is the ease with which digital imagery can be falsified/altered/distorted/manipulated. what does this lead to?

if a photo/video is too clear...it's highly suspect! if a photo/video is too blurry...it can't be presented as evidence. the truth is, ALL digital imagery is suspect due to the nature of the beast.

question: what are we to use as a base, or barometer, for validation if we can't trust our measuring instruments/digital imagery?

it would seem that we, as serious inquirers, should begin to concentrate on some other way to either validate, or dismiss certain 'claims' of evidence.

how might this be done? i don't know! but it sure seems necessary! i've noticed that much of the wrangling, and in-fighting within the paranormal/ufo 'societies' is due, in large part, to the demand for proof, and what is accepted, or what is rejected.

by the by, all the name calling/mudslinging is so infantile, and not at all in the spirit of scientific 'questing'. i must admit that this site seems to be more 'advanced' in this respect that most others. there seems to be a sort of self-imposed civility on this site. i respect that!

another very large impediment to being able to do good/adequate research are the fraudsters...and they abound!!! it's too bad. many are sincere in their beliefs, but seriously gullible. others are just down right dishonest.

if we could begin to educate folks as to how all of this is REALLY muddying up the works, and that the subject is so potentially profound as to merit greater respect for those who are willing to take the subject seriously...even to the point of government harassment, et cetera.

just my thoughts.

I could not agree with you more and the only thing I do not like about your post reply in that your "Anonymous".
Your point of view has value and it should be from a less anonymous source, IMHO.

If we cannot prove/disprove digital images then there needs to be another way of gathering evidence. A way to better understand what is going on.
I believe something is going on and I always like to say that reality is far more interesting then fiction.

Please take a look at these fantastic pic's,
this is my third post in 4 days, the UFO activity here in Holland is just awsome at the moment, look up and something is there!
The media is buzzing and with the activity in the UK at moment well you tell me!

Ok as others have said, the pics tell nothing.
So I'd ask you to describe the other things you saw, like how fast it went, how did it disappear, any noises, how many people saw it etc etc, anything extraordinary about it that screams ET.
Thanks...

OK,

with the naked eye it looked metallic, shiny, strange but when I saw it I thought wow that looks brand new! I know that must sound crazy but it's the truth.
As I said it was heading South East very very slowly and making no noise, I had time to go inside find my camera go back into my garden and take the photo's.
I have seen this or something like this several times recently and when it's dark there is also activity, like moving stars but I always imagined these to be satellite's.
That's it, not much I admit and I suppose on reflexion the photo's aren't so incredible but yeah, I was excited.
If you want copy's just tell me were to send them.
kind regards.

Gazbom, thank you for sharing more details.
Most likely the photos won't help to say anything conclusive, but it seems that some UFO activity is being confirmed by some other sources:

here there's an article of 2006, Source: i think that a translation made by a duch speaking person will be better than a google translation: if you have some time, you may check it and tell us if there is some similarity with what you saw.
It would also be interesting to know if someone else noticed and reported what you saw: no matter if the news has been reported by some local newspaper, local website: it would be interesting to know if the sightings have been reported to/confirmed by some other source.

Another thing:
the link in the OP is to the blog's homepage, but now more articles have been added there, this may create confusion to the latecomers:
if you agree, some kind MOD may replace the link in the OP with this one,
gazbom.blogspot.com...

which is the one that covers the subject discussed here

Oh, there's also an old photo, not related to this thread:

This one was taken in Alkmaar, Netherlands, 1990, allegedly by Klaas
Rutanga. It shows a silver-metallic disc with a top. Very close to the
many UFOs taken in Mexico only 3 or 4 years later. No other details
available at this time.

www.ufocasebook.com...

i wonder if you know something about it

Gazbom, after reading more posts from you, i got convinced that the title was actually the result of your genuine enthusiasm, and NOT some attempt to deceive the people: im also convinced that now you understand our points too: in case you want to send me all the photos, i've sent you my email address via U2U, our internal private messaging system:

I hope you'll enjoy your staying at AboveTopSecret.com

Well even the owner of the website posted in the OP says on an other page that these are "chem" trail planes without trail.

How convincing is that

I come to the same conclusion, these are all planes

Ah i see.
Here the second photo doesnt look like a plane.
More like a lens flare.

Do you all realise that the city alkmaar is only 30km from schiphol, a very bussy airport.

Just to put things in perspective.

Well this is interesting as I live about 20km from Alkmaar.

This is indeed something to remember. When I take the train home from work I pass right by the runways and the planes are lined up in the sky for approach to the airport. When i'm tired I sometimes gaze out the window and see multiple objects with lights that appears to be stationary but after a good look they turn at to be planes. They appear stationary because the are coming right at me for landing. On clear days it's also hard to make out the wings from the fuselage.

Don't get me wrong I'm not saying you photographed some planes, but the poster above made a valid point.

The objects in the pictures appear to be at a pretty high altitude, so its hard to make out any shape. Except for the one that looks a little like a satellite. Do you also see them at night?

Your right of course,

It does look very much like a satellite but can I ask you one pertinent question?

Have you ever seen a satellite flying so low?

nope, didn't think so.
