First, deduct the process by naming the concept (starting with 'peace') and naming it's key, enabling concept. Then name that concept's key enabling concept, and so on until you reach the root concept... observe..

PEACE
-RESPECT
RESPECT
-COMMUNICATION
COMMUNICATION
-TRANSPARENCY (mutual)
TRANSPARENCY
-FAITH (in other participant's positive intent)
FAITH
-HOPE (for the attainability of peace)

Now in reverse order, the two parties in conflict establish each step:

HOPE
FAITH
TRANSPARENCY
COMMUNICATION
RESPECT
PEACE.

DONE. Now that doesn't seem very difficult does it?

The big stumbling begins at transparency - a tough one for folks used to using deception as a tool.

So? what do you think? Do you guys understand this? Is it stupid? Does it work? Is it genius? Is it impractical? Have you ever tried anything like this? Maybe even just call me an A-hole? Something please...

This is like dealing with my girlfriend when she's mad...

The idea is good and if i am ever going to start a civilization from scratch i'll certainly build it upon those pillars
. And in a personal life it's always good to aspire those traits in your daily business with others, it attracts the best friends on the long run.

To get the transparancy thing going in a society as a whole i think it should start in the financial world from top to bottom, every transaction transparant no matter who(person) or what(corporate, political entity) Everybody should be able to see everyones transaction wherever it goes.

I have to disagree with the financial root for establishing transparency in society at large. A transparent government I believe would have to already exist in order for the laws governing finance to be appropriate for such complete financial transparency. In fact social norms and understanding may have to evolve prior to finance as well. by then with the changes in government and the social world, finance may have already ceased to exist...

Furthermore, I think to relegate this process and it's ideals to mere fantasy, is a great oversight of it's immediate applicability to all conflict, be it from interpersonal to international.
