Long User Names

What is it with these extra long user names?

Every time someone with one of these extra long user names posts in one of my subscribed forums, it shifts all my forums over to one column!!!!

Is that a glitch or do I have something set wrong?

Not a REAL big problem, just an annoyance when browsing my subscribed forums...

I get the same thing. Quite annoying, in my opinion. It also happens when there is a really long thread title.

I would like to see a character limit set on both. There's no real need for over indulging in names or titles.

And it also looks slightly goofy when you see a post by someone with a user name like this.

"Iwasabductedandthenprobedbysevenfoottallalienreptiles"

And then their whole post is a reply that says:

"You Rock!"

Since this is Board Biz, and involves thread formats and such....there are some threads I've seen with the text and background reversed, and some new and cute icons....experiments??

we also need auto resize like that found with IPB/VB

where the users avatar is automaticaly resized to 160x400 or less
some people come in with 180x400+(800) and that resized the bar in the topics

I guess I'm one of these elongated nomial dissidents causing a stir

I can't stand pointless threads, it shifts all the good ones down, is there a way to auto resize these to 0 so I cant see them.

Neither can I, and pointless posts bother me even more. You know, the ones that have Nothing to do with the topic and are little more than repugnant aspersions directed towards another's concern(s).

Why the seeming Need to comment when you have none? ...if you ask me?

"Long" usernames could rather easily be confined to the number of characters, caps or otherwise, which fit into the 160 pixel +/- mini-profile. 23-25 would seem a fair median.

If that's not enough to "say" who you Are, then I guess we should anticipate elaboration within your posts. A good thing as far as I'm concerned.
