Hi all, Hope some of our friends in the UK can keep us all updated on this story. Apparently multiple sightings over the last few weeks. Does anyone else have info about this?

There are quite a few threads about things happening in the UK.

Seems to be all over the mainstream news now, Sky News, BBC...

I noticed. This story is on the front page of Drudge today. Call me cynical, but I'm just curious what the cover story will end up being. Lanterns, Balloons, Swamp Gas, Lens Flare, etc. Though there are some pretty interesting close ups of these objects, and from multiple witnesses. It'll be hard to write this one off as an isolated visual anomoly, or hoax.

these are simply "eyes in the sky" government UAV's, to track it's citizens communications and movement. because of the large foreign residence population, it is probably trying to monitor any activity that is not already being tracked through conventional methods.

I spoke to a friend in London and a friend in Yorkshire, and neither has heard anything about this. Makes me wonder if things were blown out of proportion. *shrugs* don't know.

Interesting Theory. UAV's do seem like a plausible explanation.
