really? yeah it says leaked footage of UK helicopter UFO so im assuming thats what it is until otherwise proven so...that would be an awful shame if what your sayin is true

What helicopter chase?

If you are referring to the recent event over Cardiff, then this is not a video of that event, and I suggest that you follow the Police chase UFO over Cardiff thread for more information about it (including at least two posts with this video).

And yes, this is an old video, I also remember seeing it.

Thats not the saucer footage.

The police have yet to either confirm or deny that they have any footage of the incident.

You can also bet your bottom dollar that if they have we won't be seeing it any time in the next 25 years.

The MoD will though be studying it hard night and day.

I believe this is the fourth thread discussing the Welsh 'copter chase and potential video. This particular video has been discussed several times in this context and deemed irrelevant, being filmed over Bristol (the 'UFO' is a Chinese lantern). So far, no confirmed video of the title event has materialised. The video posted on the Sun website is simply designed to confuse the issue.

I believe This Thread contains references to two other threads on the topic.

Hey everyone. I rarely post here, but I found great similarities between the UK UFO and this footage of a UFO filmed recently over Tampa Bay, FL. Just a couple Chinese Lanterns? The real bright one is the moon, but towards the end another one appears.

well there defintiely different...the other one is actually helicopter footage...that one seems to be someone recording the sky...but the balls of light look similar you're right

The images captured over the south coast were filmed by a police helicopter. The UFO was spotted travelling across the coast and was followed for about 10 miles.

None of the crew members on board the helicopter had seen anything like it before or since.

The report states that the helicopter was engaged and had to move out of the way to avoid being hit. No way to really prove that but an interesting story nonetheless, with great footage. Starred.

not quite sure what to think of it...they reported seeing a saucer shape..and all im seeing is a ball of light traveling fairly quickly...but none of the less very interesting footage indeed

The B&W footage looks upright and rectangular in shape to me, which would be consistent with a lantern, but the color footage looks round. By looking at the footage i must say I'm surprised to learn that the pilots reported a saucer shape. Good stuff nonetheless.

I agree... doesn't quite fit. If you pause and replay and replay at 23-24 secs you can make out the cylinder shape even without the IR.

I'd say it's "round" in the color images because the light in the bottom isn't strong enough to illuminate the whole cylinder, but cylindrical in the IR footage because of the heat trapped inside the cylinder.

I'd toss my money at something similar to this one:

EDIT:
I'd also toss my money at a lot more people buying a single lantern and releasing it because there has been so much hype about ufos and either wants to have a good laugh or use it as a stupid attempt to further the cause of disclosure.... alas they only hurt it more.
