Having read that book completely and recently, nowhere is it claimed that the picture on the cover is real.

Also note that often the publishers have more to do with picking covers for bucks than the authors.

Don't know if anyone cares anymore about this post...

BUT...
The flag that Aldrin carried on the moon hangs in El Lago Texas outside of houston in Clear Lake Lodge #1417 in the South.

How do I know? Because I was sitting by it last Tuesday :-)
