Do you think perhaps they were satellites? You know there are over 8000 pieces of rocket, satellites, and debris what "we" currently track orbitting earth right?
Word of advice, sure it's a UFO. That purely means you have no idea what it is, and If I were a betting man (and I am), its ours.
Go buy a telescope for the "aliens" sake. At the very least some higher power bino's on a steady mount. Then come back and report. Even with an 8" SCT you can make out ISS and the shuttle. It's quite fun to see too.
BTW, If I see a satellite in the night sky, does that means it's a UFO if I don't know which satellite designation it is?

In short, there are many instances of this kind of activity. The premise is that these beings have as much ability to manifest, as we give them. So, in effect actively going out night after night looking, is (metaphorically) opening "doors" so to speak.
This kind of thing can manifest from distant objects, to instances within your surroundings (home, work, etc). You might notice some very odd coincidences or perceive random flashes of light at any given time or place. Usually it will start with odd occurrences that seem to be on the edge of your perception. You will, if you don't already, feel a sense of proximity. Should you continue these will become much more brazen and "in your face".
This is an area of UFOlogy that hasn't been studied very much, and has largely been ignored due to it's high strangeness level. Plenty of the interested public aren't even aware of it.
Truth be told, we have no idea how this mechanic works so I have no hard and fast advice for ya, other then if you're getting the "jeebs" then back off.
p.s.-btw, will it get you "abducted"? (hate that word) I think that might be a bit much, but there's the possibility that you might get more of an undeniable experience...not necessarily any sort of interaction with the phenomenon.

good question i think,
is it just paranoia ?...or are you sending out thought patterns that telepathic aliens can receive ? i have been pondering this idea for a while.
another thing is...if aliens are interdimensional , they could be standing right next to you and you wouldn't even know it.
so yea i think they might be able to pick up on your thoughts and see what your doing. maybe if they like or dont like what your doing they might abduct someone ?
mere speculation on my part... but it is possible
edit to add...if you are seeing so many ufo's , why no pictures ?

What are some things that distinguish an "experience" from a lucid dream? In your opinion.

The flashes of light you are talking about, are these coming from the UFO's?
because I do notice these flashes out light when I'm away from my home like at a friends house and glancing at the sky, sometimes a get a sharp quick flash of light directly into my eye and I wasn't sure what it was but it seemed to come straight from the sky.
