This was the greatest man in special effects today. He worked with Lucas, Spielberg. Created the real live robots for the terminators and the Jurassic park animatronics. This guy was a robotics engineer who would make things work on film. He would not accept CGI and prefered to build the lifesize robots for his work in the films. He died last week and I saw no other mention about it here.

His work was wonderful. Rest in peace Stan

What did he do pluky? can't see the image, sorry. I know what he did, he created the Alien queen in Aliens, that was awsome, did you see the making of aliens..this guy was a robotic engineer working in hollywood. He could make anything look real, and not using CGI.

Oh, I see it, my bad. And I wasnt trying to discredit Winston's life, more of a Dick-Cheney-is-evil musing.

Winston had vision. SOmeone might say he had Illuminating vision (as in Illuminati for those who are half-asleep) but I dont think this is the case. The power brokers in Hollywood, maybe, Winston just had amazing talent.
