Secret Pentagon Funding Near All-Time High

blog.wired.com

The latest Pentagon budget request contains a near record high level of money for classified, or "black" programs, reports the Center for Strategic and Budgetary Assessments. Fiscal year 2009 includes a whopping $34 billion to fund classified weapons purchases and development,,, making it the highest total for classified acquisition programs since FY 1987 in real terms.

possible that that is the case, but to be honest with you, I feel that there should be nothing hidden. Thats like saying that a guy shows up to my house, says I owe him 10 bucks, but he can't tell me why I owe him.

I'm sorry, but we have grossly exceeded out budget hands down. we need transparency, and clarity of government. lets break these numbers down. they want 34 billion, there are 280 million americans, this translates to each american paying 122 bucks for something that we are not allowed to know about.

Seriously, when have any of you EVER dropped 122 bucks on something, with no knowledge whatsoever on it?

Cheers,

Camain

The Pentagon did a good job with Monica and Clinton and
may have zoomed to the top with the 911 job.
What are they cooking up in those black boxes?
I say commandeer all the oil tankers at sea as war booty and
we can go back to driving GTOs.
Pass a law taking out the 80% water in gasoline and all gas
additives and use vapor carburetors and eliminate California
Governor Brown's clean air emissions law that requires his
patented catalytic converter that converts fuel CO into
greenhouse gas CO2 and feeds CO2, that extinguishes flame,
into the engine reducing engine efficiency.

The energy dumb government has let the unchecked Illiminati way
of getting money off energy has allowed a patent use that mixes
water into gas at its max of 80% eliminating the vapor carburetors
use and passes laws like emission controls that make platinum stocks
rise as we waste gasoline.

Transparency of government is too dangerous. It can/will compromise our very way of life. No other nation operates on a clear budget. Secrecy is paramount to survival as a nation & a people.

I will always advocate our multilevel methods of protection. It is in our best interest, & that of future generations.

Dreaming man, while I respect your ideas, realistically, I should be able to opt out then. If you are o.k. with giving the government money, and not knowing where it goes, thats your perogative, but there are alot of people that feel that there should be no black box projects. I am one of them. If you can't broadcast loadly what you are doing, then your not proud of what you are doing, and if your not proud of what your doing whats the alternative.

The whole military industrial complex is shot. How can we spend 3-400 billion a year, or more, and maintain a budget? The answer is we can't, and because of that mentality, we are going to come to a crashing halt. The military was created under the constitution to monitor the borders of the the U.S., and while there was a general overseeing it all, ultimately, the military rarely ventured out of the state. This is how it should be.

They say that they need the military strong in order to avoid war, and bend people to our way of thinking. I think this is not only completely wrong, but un democratic, and unconscionable. Everybody doesn't think the same, and while democracy may be good for you or I, it may not be to someone else somewhere else in the world.

I personally think that our government is way too bloated, and needs to be cleansed. The marines should be reincorporated into the navy. The navy should be put back into the coast guard. The air force should be put back into the army, and the armies responsibilites should be to protect our land and air, while the navy is to protect our waterways. we shouldn't have carrier battle groups, it makes war too easy. we shouldn't have long range bombers. the same goes. When war is easy, life is cheap, and when life is cheap, morals go out the door.

We have been in a program to protect the world now for the last 60 years, its time to stop. You can't police the world, there will always be assholes out there, thats just reality.

These black box projects, in my opinion, is just like the CIA. We have NO accountability of them, and because of that we think the worst of them. There is no reason for that. I agree, we shouldn't know who works there, but we should definately know what there doing, how there doing it, and why there doing it. It's been rumored for years that the CIA is the largest drug trafficer in the world. Is it true? Theres no way to confirm or deny it, because of there black box operations. This causes credability issues with the the U.S. image, and thus creates problems with us with the world.

In my opinion, our whole thought process with government is scewed. We are so scared of the next hitler coming, that we forget, that its very possible that he may never be there, or come about.

Just my opinion,

Cheers,

Camain

uhmm... since this is a black budget...and there is no oversight...why can't this (all or a good portion of it) be a scheme to fund swiss bank accounts. remember the 8 billion in cash loaded on pallets and flown to iraq that still has not been found and accounted for?

That's a lot of dinero's. With the US economy going in the tank where do they expect the money to come from?

I guess they better increase their drug shipments. Or raise prices. I hope they don't raise prices...

Where is this enemy, we end up fighting in the streets.
Gen Patreus took the patrols out of the tanks and makes them
walk among the people now.
Getting rave reviews in the press and the people.

Obama should get rid of the Pentagon.
The Tesla UFO play toys are controlled by Rockefeller's organization.
Let Rocky spend his own money from his monopoly on US oil imports.
Which is our money being ripped off at the pumps.

The Pentagon does not need that type of money.

I agree with everything you have said there. All empires tend to implode for the same reasons, and the US won't be diferent, as it has overextended itself and taken on conflicts it had nothing really to do with, all out of a geostrategic control imperative. Karma can't be escaped.

I could not agree with your statement more!!! The hidden aspect of our military is a huge clue that they will hide anything from us, including the truth!

Behind the scenes means they are doing things we wouldn't agree too!

While many my think that this money is going for some specialty or novelty high end secret weapons of some kind.

I am sorry to bring back to reality that the money is is nothing more that another way to rob this nation to pay companies for the so call government secret projects.

They are nothing than hoaxes and a waste of tax payer money.

Oh, one more thing, space programs are part of the government secret projects, supposedly they account for most of the budgeting.

How are all those GRIDKEEPER satellites getting up there?
Launches are well know and we don't see many hauling things that big.
Now football field sized UFOs are a different story.

The Tesla ether craft has unlimited power and haul any size or
weight.

But are they beam weapons?
And how many more do they need up there.
Is that the space program you talk about, please inform me, details of
the secret space program. Are they using large UFOs?

From the source,

The updated report does not speculate on what specific programs are being funded--though past reports have noted that classified space programs account for a good portion of the total. Longtime aerospace reporter Bill Sweetman has speculated that some chunk of this large amount of change is going toward a classified bomber prototype. And of course there's also been longtime speculation--but little concrete proof--of an "Aurora" hypersonic aircraft (though if Aurora exists/existed, then someone needs to explain why the Pentagon's Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency is proposing Blackswift, a new hypersonic aicraft?).

Many of the projects are nothing but speculations but others are well know.

When it comes to space projects I wonder if is something more than just the satellites and space station, also what else could be so secret about the rover in the red planet.

I just wonder.

Well I found an old budget from 2002 that was supposed to be until 2007, it has millions for space programs including some type of space laser that the air force was interested in.

You can't opt out. Are you going to volunteer to move to some little area of land outside of the US where your no longer under the protection of the U.S. Military?

To those who think a $34 billion dollar line item is somehow "robbing us" and isn't actually being used - I couldn't stop laughing. 34 billion is a insignificant blip in the overall US budget, the government could spend more than that per year by going up 1 size on office paperclips.
