This is only my second post. Does anyone have anything to add to these pictures. I tried to search on the Internet but everything came up with an NBC affiliate and exactly the same material...

www.nbc5i.com...

If this is in the wrong place, or I have violated any rules please delete or move this for me.

Very interesting. Can't find anything on it actually. I wonder what it is?

Anyone think it's a blown transformer, or maybe natural gas?

Reminds me of what revelations said in the bible, about signs in the sky.

And it reminds me of Stephensville.

And the before mentioned holograph project in the black books...

www.nbc4.com...

I just stumbled across it in this evenings NBC news. It is supposed to be an apparition of Christ or the Vigin Mary or something like that, I guess.

Tomorrow it will probably be in English...

I don't read Moldovan, or whatever language the comments are in, but it looks like they are saying it is a fake.

Now I really feel silly for posting this in the first place...

Video - Image of Jesus Christ Crucified

Monday, 08 October 2007
This video was recorded on September 15, 2007, by mobile phone. The originality of the recording is beyond any doubts, as I know the guy who did it personally.

The recording was done in the city of Gyumri, Armenia. A good half of Gyumry’s population witnessed the strange image. According to Gregoryan calendar, it was the day of Srbkhech holiday, when all dead people are recalled.

Since you took a self interest in this Internos, any ideas on what it might be? Do you think it's a hoax?"

So far there's a general lack of informations and witnesses: it sounds strange that "a good half of the population" witnessed it but there are no names available, but this does not mean that it is a hoax: i want to get in touch with the webmaster of theat website, hoping he will provide some link to news sources or some newspapers article, which may be in local language, so it may be difficult to find with google.

Impressive post OP, to me, I think I see a pipe that seems to be emitting this image, only it looks a little offset from the pipe, could it be the camera operator's position while taking the picture though? It is very large , in comparison to the house it is over anyway, and quite fiery looking, anything coming out of a home stovepipe that is that hot seems to me like the house would be lit up to!

So far we have 3 possible locations in 3 different countries (Moldova is not only a country, but also a region in Romania, and the accent of the guy in the video sounds rather romanian). The language is definitely romanian, and he speaks about repenting and miracles. Sounds to me like an orthodox priest.

So, we have no location, no first-hand witnesses. What are we talking about? Also what does it have to do with aliens and ufos?

Hi.
I saw this on "Tv2's" website. Norwegian tv station. Private owned.

www.tv2.no...

Translation:

IS THIS JESUS?
Many priests are convinced that a miracle has happened.

The flickering light in the sky over the village of Varancau, Moldova, changed after a bit, to a picture of Gods existence, according to the priests.
There were several witnesses to the incident and the light was also filmed.
See the video in the window and judge for yourself.

A miracle
When the incident was known, a tv station in Moldova got hold of the amateur video and got it shown to several in the preisthood/clergy (?) in the country.
They are all astonished and reckon this is a miracle and sign from God that shall strengthen mans faith and people in Moldova must beleive that good changes will happen in the country.

-God exists
The local priest is at least not in doubt to what has happened.

-This rare sign is a strong proof of Gods existence. Now all humans must have faith in God. This is proof of the holy and clear reality, says the local priest to the tv station.

Are you as convinced? State you opinon below.

Text under picture:
CONVINCED: This priest reckons this is the proof that GOD exists.

Reply to wallachian:

Moldova is a country, not a region of romania.
It sits between romania and ukraine.
The country is a parliamentary democracy with a president as its head of state and a prime minister as its head of government. The state language is called officially Moldovan, as it is mentioned in the Constitution.

I really shouldnt answer, as this is completely off topic, and also i hate to argue. However, as somebody who has visited both the Republic of Moldova and the Moldova region in north-eastern Romania, i think i know what im talking about. Moldovan language may be called so, however, its just like calling brazilian a language different of portuguese. In any case, i speak Moldovan, if you must call it like that.
Mods, feel free to delete this is you consider so.

the image itself is on some sort of glass; clearly a deliberate hoax

Ok, it's not really so important at this point: we have located it:

Vărăncău
Vărăncău (Romanian; Russian: Воронково, Voronkovo; location: 47°41'N 029°06'E) is a commune in Transnistria, Moldova, consisting of three villages: Vărăncău, Buschi, and Gherşunovca. It is located 15 km SE of Râbniţa.

The village Vărăncău is the site of the Church of the Blessed Virgin's Assumption, a Christian Orthodox church, construction of which was completed in 1800. Since then, the church has been open and functioning, standing much as it did when it first opened its doors. It is the only church in Transnistria which was never closed during the Soviet times when all other churches had to close, holding therefore a special significance for the religious community in Transnistria.

Source

Now,
someone who speaks the Moldovan language,
or other recognised regional languages like Gagauz, Russian and Ukrainian would be very helpful because itìs difficult to find anything about this story in english. Could please someone try to do some searches in one of those languages? It would be particularly interesting to find any news channel, newspaper or something like that: i mean, some media coverage, and it would be great to find some photos/videos taken from different angles.

True, true, i do speak Moldovan (i guess i should add it to my resume, i didnt know its a different language than romanian
). A little research brought me to this, on the site of the Romanian National Television:

romanian tv

The article says that about 2 weeks ago (no clear date stated) the villagers of Varancau, Republic of Moldova, saw this and also recorded it with a cell phone. The recording was later send to a television station in Chisinau, Moldova.

From the comments on that article i found this

youtube link

which is the same video, but added in October 2007, and said to be recorded in September 2007, in Leninakan, Armenia. So yet another location.

Whatever this video shows, seems to have been circulating quite a lot, and the locations where it was supposedly filmed differ with the source, but always stay within the limits of ex-USSR countries.

Thats all i can find. Maybe somebody that speaks russian can do a google search.

Edit for spelling and stuff.

[edit on 21-6-2008 by Wallachian]

Second edit to add that google.md, the moldovan google page returns mostly pages from Romania, because the two languages are identical in written form. Also moldovan might be the official language, but russian is widely used by the moldovan press, so its quite hard to find anything related to this video from the moldovan media. Thats why somebody who speaks russian would be more useful.
