And, did anything ever happen??? Sorry to hear about your loss, I can't imagine how tough that must have been for you. But again, nothing happened? people didn't come into your life that were evil?

Thank you.

Nobody has come into my life that I think is pure evil... although to be fair they wouldn't be very good at being evil if they were spotted already

I've met lots of people since then (2004), many of them weren't so nice and have caused unbelievable problems for me, but no, I don't think any have been pure evil... not enough to warrant the messages anyway.
Although... I've remarried now and my family and friends believe my husband is pure evil
(he's not).
To be honest I don't know what to make of it. A lot of weird things happened around that same time like the TV switching on by itself and things moving by themselves but it stopped after a while. I tend to try and find a rational explanation for things and I don't really believe in God or an afterlife but it was very strange and I don't have an explanation for it.

Perhaps it was your husbands way of saying goodbye.

Also, Static, yeah, he said that it freaked him out, as it obviously should have.

Perhaps. I don't think so though because I was holding him when he died and as he passed I felt a huge amount of energy pass through me... it felt like I was being electrocuted... and I went from being totally panicked to being absolutely calm... I always felt like that was him saying goodbye and calming me down. But I could be wrong. What happened after he died really scared me and he was never the type to scare me, he was always very protective of me so it really seemed odd.

First let me say i have never told any 1 about my strange story mainly cos i think it is a bit childish and really hard to believe but my sister mother and my farther witnessed it.

when i was 5 years old me and the kids i played with used to have toy guns that fired reels of caps that bang ( i dont know what there called outside of the UK)

well one night me and the family were watching a magic show Paul Daniels i suspect, well the show had finished and i was fooling around pretending to do tricks, the next bit is were it gets strange,i said to my farther i'm going to magic some toy gun caps into my slipper ( i know it sounds silly but i was only 5!) i said hocus pocus and picked up the slipper that had been on the floor and to my absolute shock there was a role of caps in the slipper!

1 i had run out of caps cos as kids we used them up strait away
2 no one had chance to place them in the slipper cos it was a totally random childish thing that i had just decided to do, it was not planned!

this cannot be explained and of course the rest of the family thought i had set the whole thing up but NO.

its such a silly story you can see why i have never mentioned it cant you and cos it is so silly i think that makes it more believable. MENTAL!

any answers or similar happened to any of you? why do things just turn up like that?

That is wierd. I have had similar stuff happens but usually it's with lost items and I will know I've looked for the item someplace several times yet I will find it later exactly where I looked usually saying It's gotta be there!

Probably this -

Little Man

There are many interesting 'little man' accounts on that thread. My experience with the little blighter has yet to be topped as far as 'strange' things go...

I was 20 years old, 8 months pregnant, driving from the countryside to town in my Plymouth Duster. At one point in the road it narrowed on a bend to a one-lane bridge. I was driving too fast and not really paying attention. I approached the one-lane bridge at the exact moment a Pepsi delivery truck was approaching it from the opposite direction.

As soon as I saw it, I went into shock, knowing that I would never be able to slow down in time to avoid a head-on collision.

I "woke up" a mile down the road, shaking uncontrollably and unable to understand how I got there.

Two days later, the Pepsi truck was making a delivery at the country store where I worked part-time. I asked him if he remembered passing a car on the bridge. He looked at me as if he had seen a ghost. Apparently, the incident shook him up too. He said we passed each other on the bridge (ONE-LANE), and congratulated me on my driving skills. I had taught myself to drive only six months before!

That is the strangest thing I've ever experienced.

Another one, less strange, but memorable is when my drugged-out boyfriend threw open the bedroom door and started shooting. I (sixteen years old) was sitting on the floor with my back against the wall directly across from the doorway. After the mayhem was over, the next day I saw three bullet holes in the exact location I was sitting when he came in shooting. I was totally unharmed. He, however, ended up shooting himself in the thigh. LOL

Well, yes it was. But I decided I must have a guardian angel watching out for me when I make stupid choices. So that is the good part.

I agree. And thanks to everyone who takes a moment for the continuing terrific quality of this thread. It's the first thread I ever started on ATS, nearly a year ago now, and it's still the best thread I've ever started. Thank you all for that.

Here's yet another weird one:

I had a sort of lost time experience once. This was when I was in the Air Force. I was watching my friends' house and pets for the weekend. I had just gotten through with the work week and went to their house, getting ready to just relax for the weekend and watch TV. It was around 7:00 PM at night. Well, next thing I knew I woke up on the couch with the TV still on and I thought it was the next morning since it was now light outside. I already was surprised that I passed out for that long, cuz I didn't even feel tired the night before and I'm usually up late. I thought it was 6:30 in the morning according to the clock, but then started to notice that it was getting darker outside. Now I was really confused. That's when I realized it was 6:30 PM and I had somehow passed out for almost 24 hours! Well, there went most of my weekend! I decided I'd go out to Best Buy to look around their CDs, before they'd close, so I drove out there and as soon as their automatic doors opened and I walked into the store, their electricity went out and the doors were stuck open and everyone was looking at me. I immediately turned around, went back to my car and drove back home. That was just weird!

Wow cool story! I walked into someplace once and that same thing happened to me, actually it happened for several days straight, but I had no missing time and I didn't think it was caused by me. I just thought it was coincidence.

It happened to you several days straight? That sure would seem strange to me! I thought it must've been coincidence, too when it happened. But the sleeping thing was just weird to me cuz I've never before or since ever slept that long.

Here's another one I have, which I think was just a coincidence, but it was still pretty strange to me:

This happened in 1989 when I was 12 years old. My dad was telling me about an episode of "The Twilight Zone" where a lady could make time stop just by saying the word "stop." So like when her kids were being loud or she was annoyed she could make everything stop, and then she could restart time when she wanted. Anyway, later they find out nuclear missiles are heading for the US and sirens go off, so she freezes time, goes outside and sees the bomb left frozen above in the sky at the end of the episode.

Well, that night, when I had just gotten into bed, I was thinking about how cool it would be to be able to stop time. I always kept my radio on at night to listen to music while I slept. So I thought of all the fun things I'd do while time was stopped, and for some reason, I thought when time stopped, the last noise you heard would echo forever until you restarted time. I don't know why I even thought of that. Well, the song that was playing on the radio was "Express Yourself" by Madonna, and I said the word "stop" out loud and at that exact moment, the song started skipping. It was during the chorus: "Don't go for sec-sec-sec-sec-sec-sec..." I had a chill run through my body!

I couldn't believe it started skipping at the exact time I said "stop." It eventually started playing normally again, and I thought it must've just been a strange coincidence. So I said "stop" again and at that exact moment it started skipping again! This time during the second verse: "You deserve the best in life, so if the time isn't right then move on. Sec-sec-sec-sec-sec-sec..." Both times it was on the word "second" but during different parts of the song. Now my heart was pounding and I was freaked out. The song started playing normally again, so I thought I might as well try it once more. But the third time nothing happened, which was really a relief by then. Haha!

Now, I'm having too much fun posting my experiences. Haha! I thought I'd save some in case this thread starts getting slow again, but oh well here are some more:

Another coincidence story: I know this has happened to everyone at least once probably, where you're driving and you think someone is following you. Well, my friend was driving from one side of town to the other and I started to notice that the car behind us seemed to be following us for quite a while. We had already been making turns and it would also make them. I thought, okay, it's just a coincidence, plus we're on the main roads, but we both started to worry, so I said turn at the next road, which was not a main one. As soon as she turned on her right blinker, I looked in the passenger side mirror and that car also turned on it's blinker. I was like OMG he just turned on his blinker too! When she got near the road she just kept going straight instead of turning, even though her blinker was still on. Luckily, I looked behind us and the car had turned right. If they hadn't, then I'd really start freaking out--haha!

I also have a UFO story, though not as impressive as some of the ones I've read here. I was with the same friend and her husband. We were driving on I-40 through the middle of the desert in Arizona at night. I was looking out the window at the stars and noticed this huge orange ball of light in the sky. I was watching it for quite a long time, not even thinking it was weird. The entire time, the song "Rock The Casbah" by the Clash was playing on the radio. Then I was thinking oh, it must be a planet or something. Then I thought, wait, but planets usually don't look that big and they don't move (well at least not when you're looking at them from earth). That's when I noticed it was weird and looked away to tell her husband to look at the light I saw, but as soon as I looked away to tell him about it, it disappeared.

I've been re-reading the other posts in this thread, (and I have 3 lamps on right now--that's what happens when you're reading these at night-LOL!) cuz I knew when I first read them I kept remembering other weird things that happened to me before. That's what inspired me to finally join ATS, but I only recently finally decided to post them. Here's some that involved dreams:

We had two pet guinea pigs when I was growing up. We were keeping them outside in a storage shed at night for some reason. Anyway, one night I had a dream that I went to the shed to check on them and they were both covered in ants. I was able to save one of them, but the other one died. When I woke up, I immediately went to check on them, and the one I couldn't save in my dream was dead.

Another dream related one: I had a dream I was walking in the middle of a field of grass. The next thing I knew I suddenly tripped on a brick and fell forward. I woke up before I hit the ground and it felt like I just landed on my bed on my stomach. A few nights later I had the same dream. I was walking in the same field and this time I suddenly tripped on a brick and fell backward. Before I hit the ground I woke up again, and this time it felt like I just landed on my bed, but I was on my back this time. Another similar thing like this: One time at school, i fell asleep at my desk and I dreamt that I was floating above my desk looking at myself with my head laying on the desk asleep. Suddenly I fell back down into my body and jolted awake.

One more dream experience: My sister and I always had dreams about tornados. (Though it's been a long time since I've had one now.) One time I told her that I had a dream about a tornado the previous night and she said she also had one that night. I told her in my dream we knew a tornado was coming and we were at the store buying umbrellas. She said the same thing also happened in her dream.

Here's one last quick quick story which does not involve a dream: One time I was looking out the window at night and had a chill run through my body when I noticed a face looking back at me. It freaked me out cuz I was on the second floor. Then I realized it was just my reflection. Hahaha!

Slowing down time is a great feeling, and it's very possible to do.

Once I was standing out on the sidewalk at this bar where you could look inside from there and see the band. It was part of the summer atmosphere of the place where you could sit or stand outside. Standing there I had a large beer in a frosted glass in my right hand.

A group of us were standing talking in a circle.

I was talking and the full glass slipped from my hand.

It seemed like I had all the time in the world to just move my hand down to follow it down a ways and catch it, which I did, about twelve inches below where I was holding it, nothing spilt.

It was ok, and I just kept drinking, thinking "That was a bit wierd." Then the people who had seen it happen started saying "Did that just happen?" "That was freaky."
