Hi all,

I came across this image from the moon using a program called NASA world wind 1.4 LINK and I was just wondering if you would all be so kind as to take a look and tell me what you see.

I have been wrestling with it for a few days now and I thought the best place to find an answer would be here at ATS.

The first is untouched. LINK

The second is after I have messed about with the lighting and colours. LINK

Thoughts would be much appreciated and also I am not going to say what I see as for 1. I think it is fairly obvious and 2. I would like people to confirm what I see before I give my opinion on what is there so as not to appear suggestive.

Cheers all

P.S. The coordinates are 149.16262E_30.08773N in case anyone would like to look for themselves and one other thing whatever I am seeing is miles in size????

Either that is a lighted airport runway or a photographic anomaly.

Looks like a string of lights for something.

Looks more like artifacts of the 3D engine... Have you ever played 3D games?? You see those kinda error all the time...

If that's a runway I sure hope they have great suspension on the landing gear. They are in for one very bumpy ride!

It reminds me of the antenna visible in some photos, one that many, many people thought was an alien spaceship or something. A little small though.

Thank you for the replies so far people, I really have no idea if it is some sort of 3D glitch or a pile of shiny rocks etc.

I just thought I would throw this out for you people at ATS to pick apart.

This image shows a white outline around the anomaly and also has a small tile dropped on top to give an idea the scales involved and also the bearings and coordinates.

LINK

Cheers for looking

Lol so THAT was the anomaly you meant? I thought you where talking about the white pixels.

Looks like just a different color with some crater (the moon images changes color from near white to black quite a bit). Try finding your area on images such as these instead:

ser.sese.asu.edu...

Go for the 500m/pixel one (yours is what, 50km/pixel?), its only 240mb for the tif image
