[qoute]Chemezov offers—it’s an amazing offer with Putin’s support... there are countries in the Middle East that are approaching Russia to buy replacement weapons and spare parts. Chemezov is here to say, "We want to work with America to either establish either a joint company, or even an American company that would act as a front for weapons these nations want to buy. So American would not think we’re going behind their back." What an unbelievable offer. Chemezov is here, with Putin’s knowledge, to try to set that up with us. Our National Security Advisor doesn’t even attend the meetings.[/qoute]

So the russians approach a US congressman with a brilliant idea to help show the US that russians arms deals are all above board.

A joint effort. What a fantastic idea. Yet it died before birth because if whats in this blog is correct the American higher ups didn't even give it the time of day.

I think this would of been a great way to get hands on with alot of new kit from russia, and make relations between the two a little less fractured.

I think the main concern is that Russia does have a tendency to sell weapons to countries that aren't exactly friendly towards the United States. And admittedly we've done the same to them in the past. I think that this might have more success if we started off by working on a few joint projects to be used exclusively by American and Russian forces with no export sales.

Yes... thats what this article was all about. The russians wanted the USA to know who got what and where from.. and the American high ups snubbed them.

A stupid move, because as a company they could of got their hands on the cutting edge russian tech and known 100% for sure the abilities of said equipment.

Now they have to keep on guessing.

Fools.

It is clear that America never ended Cold War... but now it is not just VS Russia but the whole World...

Russia offered access to the radar in Azerbaijan... it was not good enough!
Russia offered weapon sales control by both countries... it was not good enough!
Who is the "real" enemy here?

If it was up to me… I would never allow that radar to be installed in Czech Republic!

Be that in open by stating that it clearly violates Russian security… or in the background with Speznas!

United States had problems with Russian Nukes in Cuba… How is this any different? I wonder what US would say if Russia would build Radar site in Cuba with antimissile installations… to protect North and South America from Iran's missiles coughcough... right!
