This is the best news I have heard in a long time. I wept when the Military Commissions Act passed in 2006. Today, the Supreme Court ruled that detainees at GITMO do have rights to Habeus Corpus!

This is great news for supporters of the Constitution of the United States.

I hope that the Supreme Court will continue to rule in favor of the Constitution rather than in favor of draconian laws meant to circumvent it.

I forget which president said it, but someone asked him about a supreme court ruling that told him to stop doing something.

He said "The supreme court has ruled on it, now let's see them try to enforce it!"
