If 18 Year Olds are Old Enough to go to War, Then Why can't They Buy a Beer?

Not being able to buy beer until you are 21 is bull[crap].

It should be legal for all ages to purchase beer, porn and cigarettes.

Not in all provinces, intrepid. Quebec is 18, and I believe so is Alberta. Edit: Look slike Manitoba's legal age is 18, as well.

Here's the logic:

It takes a certain level of maturity to drink responsibly.

It doens't any maturity to get a few slug through your chest (although I heard it helps).

Wheres RANT and his MADD connections? I think the reason why its different between AMerica and Canada is because we have a federal government that uses coersion on its member states. Canada's federal government got it right with this issue.

Porn doesn't hurt a teenager. Beer and cigarettes do pose a health risk though.

Alright, but Manitoba & Alberta have legal ages of 18 to drink, as well.

That sucks. I grew up in N.S and B.C., 19 in both places. Dad should have been a farmer.

Id disagree, a health risk is a lot less important than having your idea of sexuality warped by pornography. And this isnt coming from a guy who goes to church three times a week, this is a guy who actually asked his girlfriend to wear her cheerleading outfit in the sack. Hmmm I wonder where I got that idea............?

Oh and that reminds me, on top of being that dirty guy I described above, I think I could make a killing selling porn and cigarettes to underage middle school kids in rich neighborhoods.

i am 18 years old, i have registered for the draft and im going to work on ballistic missiles but i cant drink? what the hell is that. 18 should be the drinking age.

although in the navy the skipper of a ship can decide if his crew can drink 21 and under included if they come into a port where the drinking age is below 21.

My idea of sexuality hasn't been warped by pornography. I'm 13 and I download porn off the 'net all the time.

Have you been in a sexual relationship yet? You don't have to answer that. But I don't think you can say that it hasn't been warped until you've actually been with a person and see what it is you expect or hope to happen at that time.

LOL! I feel sorry for you and parrhesia. Porn couldn't possibly compare to some of the stuff the freaks I meet are in to. Its crazy.
