I hope this hasn't been posted before, it doesn't look new (but not that old either) and nothing came up in various searches.

Here is an article discussing it:

Google Earth UFO? Video Online Suggests Such A Phenomenon.
by Mike Baron.

Is it true that you can see UFO's with Google Earth? Well, in the videos below, it would appear that you can.

When first hearing about someone using Google Maps, and later Google Earth, to show UFO sighting locations it seemed a bit silly.

If UFO's actually exist than this is probably a great way to find out. What explanation do people who do not believe in UFO's give for this phenomenon? Has it ever been checked?

But I really think the video speaks for itself. It's interesting but I'm not that convinced. The thing that puzzles me is why (assuming it is a UFO) the government or whoever would let planes take images of Area 51, then allow them to be released. @_@

Enjoy!

Area 51 is so famous that it is highly unlikely that "black projects" are still conducted there. After lying bout Area 51 even being there in the first place, perhaps it is a ploy to say "see? we are not doing anything suspicious 'round here!".

How big would that object be? Is there anything for reference?

Same page, different video. 2 Ufos in this one.

Has this already been adressed? They've been out for quite a while, I can only imagine how long these things would have been on google earth before that for someone to find them. Very interesting stuff.

Could just be the programmers behind google earth playing a little joke

I feel the same way about Area 51, but I felt it was worth posting anyway.

As for the size... This is from the video description.

"I used the ruler on Google Earth set to measure feet in distance the object is 30 to 35 feet wide."

Maybe it's just an experimental hovercraft.

That's still a UFO!

I know this forum is "Aliens and UFO's", but they can be mutually exclusive. I'm a much bigger believer in UFO's as experimental aircraft in general rather than alien spaceships.

These are the coordinates of the ufo of the OP:

Lat 37°11'55.05"N
Lon 116° 3'20.01"O

In my opinion, it's a formation of the terrain, and what looks to be a shadow is NOT, since the Sun orientation is opposite to the one needed in order to create a shadow there (see arrows), and the shape is just claimed to be the one of a disc but i honestly don't think it is: anyway, its diameter is approx. 30 feets.

The coordinates of the first ufo in the second video are

Lat 34° 8'6.04"N
Lon 117°36'12.17"O

sadly, the images dataset has changed and now the object is no longer visible:

i have no idea what it was, but i've seen something of very similar in others areas:

Lat 34 08 13 N
Lon 117 33 21 W

Lat 34 08 12 N
Lon 117 39 07 W

Lat 34 08 31 N
Lon 117 38 20 W

Lat 34 08 05 N
Lon 117 36 14 W

Lat 34 08 32 N
Lon 117 35 24 W

some of them are still visible on Google Earth.

I honestly have no idea what they could be.

Regarding the second ufo of the second video, the triangle
Lat 30°30'38.44"S
Lon 115°22'56.03"E

there's an explanation:

UFO Down Under - Mystery Revealed

Here's the final nail in the coffin for the Australia UFO story, a ground level shot of the mysterious triangle most readers thought was a UFO.

This photograph reveals plainly the wind turbines in the background taken at the Emu Downs Wind Park, just 10 kilometers west of the Brand highway, which leads to Badgingarra National Park.

So ends the mystery surrounding the Australia UFO triangle images sent in last week. I can only say that half those who replied to my requests to e-mail me - which still stands, please keep your comments and personal experiences coming - thought they saw a real unidentified flying object. But about a third said it was a brush fire and you could see a radio tower and guide wires in the last Australia UFO photo in last week's UFO Phenomena story. The rest said 'get real' and do some digging and you'll see its a wind farm.

In a way, I am disappointed as are many readers out there who believe our planet is being visited by extraterrestrials. I only hope some day we can prove it. So for now, let's keep investigating the UFO Phenomena and in our weekly stories we'll look at some of the fascinating reveals and eye witness accounts as they're reported on in my weekly column. Until then, keep watching the night sky and keep a camera handy - you never know what you'll find if you'll just look up.

Any pattern to where those orbs appear? Could they be something used by google maps.. like a marker of some sort, projected from the satellite for keeping everything "in line"? Just coming up with logical ideas before the good ole' fashion UFO assumption.

Well the images i've posted,

come all from the same area between San Antonio Heights and Rancho Cucamonga: See the area in Google Maps, at approx 35 miles from Los Angeles.
I know for sure that there are a lot of them all over: i really haven't a clue what they are.
