John Kerry the anti christ?

From what I know about what the antichrist is supposed to be, I do not forsee him being Kerry, Bush, Blair, Prince William, etc. It's very likely that he could turn out to be a future Pope, that wouldn't be far fetched. There are many prophecies that the antichrist needs to fulfil (according to Revelations), I really can't start naming them off the top of my head but if you do a search I'm sure you can find them.

As for there being many antichrists, I don't think this is the case. It is said that the antichrist will have a false prophet who will go about preaching his "word". (In my opinion this might be Benjamin Creme, right hand man of the so called Maitreya, there's another post about this in the NWO forum if u want to check it out). This false prophet is subordinate to the antichrist, for there is only one true deceiver. The antichrist will have many prophets who he will give the power to conduct "miracles" and the like, in a show of his so called "godly power", but these are merely prophets and magicians (or so it should be).

Until it happens, no one can really know who the antichrist will be, or when he will come. These are merely my beliefs, and the beliefs of many others.

oh wow the new pope... you may be right... such a figure would be in the perfect position to be the Anti Christ.

think. the pope has:
a) full control of the most powerful religion in the world
b) full control of the most metaphysically informed society in the world, the Vatican's Holy See and their archives.
c) full control of the majority of occult artifacts and scientifically dismissed objects of metaphysical value
d) influence over the progression of international affairs through discreet and overt methods
e) major control over a vast network of religious zealots who can overturn civilization with little explanation. or at least try to.

but in all seriousness, I thought the antichrist was supposed to unite people, and isn't there supposed to be "the mark of the beast"? sorry - im not too well versed in the topic, but seeing how much people loath Bush, it cant be him

Im not an expert either but i can try and guess. And it does make sense about the antichrist uniting people.

The future Pope theory could be a good idea. When the antichrist first appears it is said that he will be charismatic and loved by the masses. He will unite the world (into a "global community" of sorts) after settling the disputes in the Middle East and other things. There are many prophecies for him to fulfill, these are merely a few. He is supposed to come from somewhere in Europe, I can't remember exactly what area though.

No one would suspect a Pope becoming antichrist, I'm sure any future Pope could fulfill all the prophesized requirements too. That idea scares the # out of me, because so many people will be deceived. I think even hardcore Christians could be deceived by someone who is their "leader". I've never put thought into the Pope=antichrist idea... I'll probably start giving it a lot more thought...

If we see a Pope, or any leader for that matter (head of the UN, perhaps?) come forward preaching one world religion, one world government, etc, be very cautious of this person...

As for the mark of the beast, that comes after the antichrist has already taken power and assumed control over everything. The mark will be required for buying and selling; if you don't have it you wont be able to buy, sell, or trade in the world. It will be a tatoo and microchip on the hand or forehead. This is also why I think the prophecies will come true in our lifetime with all this research and development being done in implanting chips and such... Scary...

The pope has no army which I believe will be a requirement for the Anti-Christ to use his powers to conquer. Unless he uses supernatural powers only..I would have to say it will be a prominent leader of a well armed country.

The antichrist is not supposed to conquer with force, (though some say his rise to power will be preceeded by WWIII) he will unite and conquer through deception and charisma.

Damn...I like America's army.

Wouldn't it be cool if America kicked the anti christ's ass?

It won't be John Paul 2. He's too old, I think. It'll be a future pope. This business is startin ta really get to me, I know what you other guys mean. He'd be so deceiving I think I might even be fooled. I've done so much thinking about Revelations, and now that I think about this it scares me. It'll be very hard to see the truth from the antichrist's lies.

the bible's transliterated portions on this topic state that the antichrist will claim to be of jewish faith, but indeed, he will not be of the jewish faith or origins. it says something along the lines of "he will say that he is from the house of God, but in fact, he is in the house of Satan." It also states that he will be a person who lies about his religious orientation in order to gain access to the populous, which is likely to be a zionist or a pontiff.

He won't be Jewish but he'll claim he's a direct discendant of King David.

I could be wrong, I really dont think I am, but I think being a Jewish leader is not what he will be. It is said that the Jews will not follow him, but they will not convert to see the truth of Jesus' second coming either (until near the end when there will be a large conversion, but not in the beginning of the events). So I don't think he'll be a Jewish leader, but he will be a European of some sort.

The antichrist is going to have world influence.

I've been looking into him for some time now, and I believe he's up to no good. He goes around apparently doing miracles, preaching he's either immortal or been around for a very long time, he's otherworldly, and apparently has many "Christ-like"qualities. I can see right through his ruse, but I'm afraid if he ever goes public many people will not.
