There are many threads and comments to why the aliens won't make themselves known. think i have the answer. The earth is under quarantine. There are millions of races and species in the universe and they all know about earth. they know that this is the great experiment.

People have asked me " why won't the government disclose knowledge about ET's the answer I give them is that Some ET's have plans to take over earth. the governments are scared silly. they are building huge caverns to hold the rich and wealthy, they are pouring in trillions of dollars to develop weapons that
can fend of these rogue aliens. they are planning to subdue the population so it will not be a threat.
The grays have an agenda of all thier own. I hate to sound religious but the grays are trying to get back with God. hence thier breeding programs.

I think they don't disclose themselves to us because they are inter-dimensional and trying to reveal the nature of their reality to us would be like trying to explain existentialism to a carrot.

There are a few factors as to why aliens, if they do exist, don't reveal themselves to humans on a global scale.

a. They understand human nature just as well, if not better, than humans themselves do. If we can deduce that chaos would spread globally if disclosure happens, and that these celestial beings have greater intelligence, then we can also deduce that the results of disclosure are far more understood by these beings than by us. Therefore they perhaps see that humans are not ready to know of their existence, on a global scale.

b. If the beings are extra-dimensional, it could be costly, and/or difficult for them to get themselves noticed.

c. The veil of closure weaved by the government (and possibly some alien factions) is so vast that we could be having contact all the time and simply be programmed to believe that we aren't.

d. Of course the skeptics favorite; They don't reveal themselves because they're not real.

e. They foresee that by revealing themselves they're granting, in some forms, exchange of technologies, and through this exchange humans, whose nature is evil straight to the core, would reap havoc on themselves and possibly the aliens.

There are more, but I'm done typing for the night.

OR - think about this: earth is there "ant colony"

Some people keep snakes - i have - and we know snakes bite! So you learn how to defend yourself by either wearing gloves etc.

So here we are - the great "ant colony"...

Aliens do exist... it's just when are we gong to be told the "truth" that they do exist. Do we really need to be told? What will happen when we are told? We will just go "AH!!! I knew it"... so why bother if we already know.

Is it that far fetched? Nope. Seriously, do they really think that most people believe humans are "special"? I don't think we are. Where we are in terms of evolution or technology may be millions of years surpassed by another "species" out there somewhere.

Regardless of proof or no proof, I personally do not believe we are alone in this galaxy - let alone this universe! Proof - nope - brains to think about it? Yep!

But hey, that's just me

I also believe that aliens do exist, somewhere, in this vast universe, hell even maybe the galaxy.

But I don't so much believe that aliens visit earth, anymore anyways.

maybe they pop in from time to time to get whatever they come to get. Minerals or water or whatever. Who knows - or cares. I also don't believe too much in abductions for testing etc. They have had thousand of years to do that stuff... why bother now on the 20/21st century... nah - i don't buy this human experiments BS.. UNLESS, they just discovered us in like the last 200 years, they would really be wasting their time still doing it. lol I mean, with their tech why would they still need to study us?

I am sure they already know earth is on a self destruction course with the governments we have - who by the way are just people like us that WE gave power to who are now screwing things up because they can...

Those people who are 'screwing things up for us', as you put it, are not just like you or I. They're probably a multitude more intelligent, with a much grander perspective of the world and humanity.

It's part of the reason why those people are who they are. The fate of the human race doesn't sit on incompetent shoulders, but it doesn't rest on a compassionate heart either.

I doubt that - honestly. That would be a political debate lol and this is not the place for that. But I believe it is power and money driven. That's all. Money makes money - simple. If they had a greater perspective of humanity there would not be social problems we have today.

I agree with your last comment on the above statement. Incompetent or competent is debatable and has different areas of relevance. Intelligence is imo also debatable. I can tell you now i am more intelligent that GWB and you may laugh but it is true. I am not going to prove anything when i say that. It's simply a statement which I believe is fact - and as long as i believe it i am happy
know what i mean?

Shearder, if you believe that money and power is what motivates these people then I can't see how you'd be more intelligent than GWB. I don't mean that as an insult, and I'm sorry if it comes off as one.

Money and power, to someone whose truly intelligent, have absolutely no value what-so-ever. These two 'destinations' are the opiate for the masses, keeping us all running around like ants. Power has no value, and you're statement proves exactly why it doesn't. "I can tell you now i am more intelligent than*GWB and you may laugh..... It's simply a statement which I believe is fact ...". First, you asked me if I knew what you mean, and let me respond yes.
Now back to the issue. This statement is true in what it tells us about the nature of power. Power is relative to the perspective. There's fame and stardom, but this isn't power, it's being dressed up and skanked around on television. There's the ability to control others, but who wants power that makes you into an as.... eh I don't wanna say it, I'll lose all my ATS points again.

As for money. Money is the most brilliant scheme ever concocted by man, especially the mannerism in which the founding fathers of America approached it. There was a time, in America's early history, that we needed resources. What did we do? We turned tree's into dollar bills. What did we do with those dollar bills? We exported them all over the world and traded it for real things. You see where I'm going?

Imagine that! Trading paper for metal to build factories. Trading paper for people to build those factories for you. Paper for everything! The GENIUSES that run our country don't care about Money. If we need more of a resource we just print more paper, and everyone opens their doors to trading REAL THINGS for paper. That's why America is in so much debt, with no hope of breaking even.

I posted on a similar talk before . My opinion - we should just look at our own evolution.

500 years ago: just (re) discovering how to print books
50 years ago: inventing the computer
20 years ago: inventing the Internet.

In the last 20 years or so , we seen an increase of 100% of the power of our computers for every 3 years. If we continue like this for another 30 years (and we can ) we will have computers with processors as complex as a human brain, but way faster than the human brain.

in 30 years from now we will be able to understand how the DNA works, and re-design it with the help of the super-computers the size of your desktop computer. Then , in the moment when we can re-design the humans , we can increase the intelligence.

in 50-60 years from now we will be able to enhance the brain of the humans and inter-connect this one with processors countless times more powerfull than the human brain.

in less than 100 years from now we could be countless times more intelligent than we are today ! we will not be what we call "human " anymore.

Well- back to our talk - I guess the ETs passed this stage maybe long long time ago while humans were still just some smarter monkeys..

so - why do they not contact us ? simply they could be so intelligent that they are not able to understand us or we are irrelevant to them.

Not bad OP, i'll admit a similar thought had crossed my mind at one point, and it's one i haven't dismissed.

Of course now i'm going to add a spin and say that Earth is not humankind's home planet (as we already know considering we came here riding on the back of an asteroid... apparently), and that the 'true' humans out there most likely have a remarkably powerful space empire - we are merely the remnants of those who were upon a planet that was destroyed by one of humanity's enemies.

As such, it is very possible that humans are fairly well-spread out in the galaxy, and whether or not those humans are aware of one another's existence is something that can be discussed.

As for your quarantine, i believe i can see the reasons why a friendly race would do that to us - it'd help us to evolve without fear of extra-terrestrial threats, at the very least.

Perhaps the quarantine will be enlarged once we set foot out of earth's gravitational pull.

Perhaps our lost ancestors will make themselves known at that point, with the words "You have succeeded".

beautiful , i hope they will indeed say "well done" . But I have the ideea we go wrong and for a reason they would not help as we should go to the stars trough natural selection ..

Yes, that's why i am saying - they would make themselves known to us once we decided we'd had enough, and returned to the age of exploration.

Perhaps once we begin to colonise the other planets in our solar system, they will come to us instead of waiting for us to come to them, something which a race capable of galactic immigration would do, even if it took thousands of years.

I'm hoping they will be human-like in appearance though, because that will at the very least give us some added hesitation before we try and kill them all.

Uhm, as interesting as a 1 hour 45 minute long film about humanity's reaching technological grasp can be, what does it have to do with the topic matter?

Not that i'm not watching it now, though.

lol , off topic a bit. It is to do with the effort on understanding the DNA , that of course would lead to the re-design of the DNA using nanotechnology. The connection with the thread: if we would be able to make this within 100 years, we should think how far the ETs are.
Just one point in expressing that we could be simply not intelligent enough to achieve communication with forms of life that passed our technological level let say 100 000 years ago

No insult taken.

hmmmmm... who wants "that" sort of power? Many politicians LOL and being made "the word you didn't want to use" came naturally to some and learned by others lol

To a point i agree with you. However, paper money was first invented by the Romans around 1000AD - perhaps perfected later on lol

But again, money was nothing new and though typically invented by the Phoenicians. this born out of bartering and trading. BUT, when someone didn't have anything to trade with the "credit note" was born. Then that became "coinage" and then, as i mentioned, the romans invented paper money because they didn't want tocarry coins in their togas. (but that's s different story lol)

BUT i DO get your point!.

If we need more of a resource we just print more paper, and everyone opens their doors to trading REAL THINGS for paper. That's why America is in so much debt, with no hope of breaking even.

Yeah the problem about just printing more money is that it will create a serious imbalance in supply and demand and prices etc will just get out of control. We will never win where money is concerned. Ok, i will if i could afford a new ferrari every year!
