Last time I checked; Parliament and Government still had a white-British majority and minority celebrations were not national holidays in the UK.

That is why the BNP are becoming an anti-immigration party because the racial tatic does not work anymore.

I'll try to explain it my friend,
It is the way that we evolve as a society, it takes time and it has growing pains. Right now this is how it works. As soon as Blacks and other minorities get on equal footing than their actions will be viewed as racist and it will fade out. BUT just like we have neo nazi's and KKK we will have minority groups like that too.
For example with the change. You pointed out that comedians can rip on their own race and whitey too. Well, haven't you noticed that Black comedians are getting hammered for you the N###er word?
Some crazy white folk think that the pedulum will swing so far that we become a minority....is that how it has worked in history? no.
As we progress it won't be cool for any race to be all prideful. We may enjoy our geographical heritage but not based on race. That is going to die out like it should but not over night and you and I and others are just going to have to see the big picture and not be so short sighted, ignorant, and myopic about feeling like we are going to become a minority.
I doubt I did a decent job at explaining this.
1) racial pride is devisive. it will run its course but we have to expect that those that have suffered for so many generations are going to, and should be allowed some leway as they adjust to being treated equal.
Don't get sucked into feeling like a victim. But above else, don't get sucked into being one of those people that will be left behind the natural advancement of our species, it will just make you one of those bitter dudes that think the invention of the car was evil and blacky should go back to the fields. Because they are the ones why this process has taken so damn long!

Most of these groups of people (gay is not a heritage, by the way), overcame great odds to be successful members of society in a world that was run by predominately white (discriminatory) males. That is what most of their "pride" is about.

The Asian and Hispanic cultures that wish to celebrate their respective heritages are usually doing so because they are far from home and want to bring some of their traditions and cultures into the community where they currently reside.

I would guess you're not big on the whole "melting pot" idea...

When I first read your post, I could understand you...but now I'm just confused. The more information you reveal, the more I think you're trying to convince yourself that you're not a racist.

I must have missed them, but I will tell you that there are multitudes of whites who do exactly what you've just castigated blacks for doing - which they don't even do anymore in the first place. If this were the 70's then you'd have a valid point. You could make an argument for organizations like the NAACP, but then again their mission is to achieve equality and correct social injustices (or so they claim); they aren't running around claiming white people are inferior or things of that nature. There's a difference between celebrating your heritage and culture, and just running around carrying bullhorns and calling people Niggers and Spics. Factions whose sole purpose is to preach white "Supremacy" are justifiably vilified in my opinion. You can be proud of being white without using it as a tool to lash out and belittle other races. Surely you have a very warped sense of reality.

Have pride in your "heritage". Who is telling you not to? As long as it isn't used to suppress or oppress others, then you should not have to endure any criticism or made to feel like you've done something wrong. Don't just turn your sentiments of "pride" into feelings of negativity towards other races. I'll pose this question to you: Exactly how would you want to exhibit your 'white pride' if you do so at all?

I just want people to come to this country and become part of it...not segregate themselves....yet I see see this segregation ..even though the society bends over backward to accommodate them!!
