WhamBamTYM,

Have you tried it in Google??or any other search engine. It exists and NOT very hard to find. Spend some time in a few of the inglorious chat rooms formed by AOL members. Finding it is not the problem, getting rid of it is. Most is based overseas in countries actualy benefiting from it, even sponsoring it, gaining wealth thru membership dues to those same sites. Misspell a web site and it can popup without realizing it.

I concur. This stuff certainly does exist. I have had it show up on a computer without looking for it. And that's what really scares me more than anything. It only happened twice, and it was years ago, but it still bothers me on many levels.

If the kid was...I will throw out a solid age nice and far below the grey area. If the kid was 6 yrs old or less. The guy you know is a pedophile.

oh, and pedophiles never are busted on their first crime.

If you want to defend this guy fine, but to convince me of anything different you are going to have to give me the age of the victim...the circumstances are not important in the slighest, just the age.

The victim was probably nine or ten, but still a kid.

And actually, this probably was the offenders first victim, though he did molest her on several ocassions before she said anything about it. He was only fifteen or sixteen himself, and did not have regular acces to anyone else.

The circumstances most certainly do have a bearing here. That's my point. If this big dumb doofy # had been able to get his rocks off with a hooker, he never would have touched that little girl and risked going to prison.

night and day.....15yrs and 9yrs old. Not a pedophile issue.

....hey people, don't tell anyone to go searching for this stuff!

I absolutely freak about there being a possibility of anything like this pop up or get on my computer...I don't even bother with legal porn because of this.

I would honestly rather be accused of murder than any sex crime, especially against a child. Your life is over at that point.

Well it certainly was legally speaking. And it was as far as myself and the victim's brother were concerned at the time, being about the same age as the offender. Even as a young teen, I wouldn't have gone after some undeveloped little girl, and neither would most people. But again, does that make the offender a real pedophile?

I really don't think that was the issue. I really believe it was a matter of opportunity and circumstance. If he had been able to get a girl our own age, he never would have gone after the sapling. But back on the other hand again, could that have been the crucible in which a true pedophile is born? Will the offender's own first sexual experiences with this young girl dominate his sexual thought pattern for the rest of his life?

Punishment is not the answer. Treatment is debateable I suppose. But prevention is the only way to really combat crime of any sort. Take away the conditions which create the monster.

Some one does need to monitor this problem. Not so sure if the government should get into it. Once in they never leave!

I understand what your saying... but the government already has "law enforcement" at their disposal. Do you think finding these criminals should fall into the hands of a private police force??
