Refugees causing havoc in Australia !!!

To date 35000 Sudanese and other refugees from Africa have been given refugee status in Australia...Now I'm not saying these people should not be helped in some way or another...

But really, let's be serious...taking 35000 Africans from their warn torn country and plonking them smack in the middle of Melbourne...does that not somehow seem COMPLETELY INSANE ??

These people grow up in the jungles and deserts of warn torn Africa, these kids they are bringing in...some of them have been trained in militias to rape and murder anyone and anything...

And somehow the Australian government deems it fit to take these people and place them in the middle of a predominantly white 1st would country and expect them to do what ? Become civilized all of a sudden ?

What the hell is going on....I see gangs of these African kids hanging around the streets doing nothing all day but causing trouble...

I see fights breaking out between these African kids and the lebanese kids and vice versa...it's really a sad thing what the Australian government is currently doing...

I would really like some input from other Australians on what their view is on this topic...

It is simply questioning if bringing these refugees into our country is really the best decision all round.

Here in the states we had a similar problem right after the Viet Nam war. Most where good hard working folks that just built they're lives and stayed out of trouble. Somehow though, a certan element of 'mafia' types got here in the mix. We also had a problem with Americans playing the race game with them. I'm not sure how to fix the situation, but if they don't have jobs or ways to educate these refugees, your in for some bad times because like you said, they can live on nothing and can raise a hell of a lot of trouble.

They can't speak a word of english, they can't read or write, they have no CLUE of what "civilized" means.

They are used to violence, war, murder, rape, executions, torture, famine...

And now they are here ?

I read another article about these refugees....that once they got here they went all mental, not having ever seen "take aways" and so much food in such abundance, that their daily diet consists of 5 - 8 meals a day of kentucky and pizza...now more than half of them are turning obese...

I have no clue what the Australian government thinks it's doing right now, but I assure you they are causing nothing but sh!t for this country...

Who pays for their kentucky and pizza ?? they sure don't....we do!!

Sounds like yet another example of a government who puts its political beliefs ahead of the welfare of its citizens.

Not at all uncommon, just more pronounced with socialists.

What worries me more is the lack of concern from Australians in general...They are too ignorant to notice these significant changes around them,,,,or too scared to face facts...but when they do wake up, it'll be way too late!

Sounds like you need to brush up on your Sudanese, Swahili, etc.. We have the same problem with illegal mexicans in our country. Instead of insisting they learn English, we're being pressured to learn Spanish..

I haven't experienced any bad things from refugees, and any crimes or bad things I have experienced have been from white Australians. I think it's all subjective - these things are sometimes blown up by the media.

But I will say, a lot of refugees and immigrants refuse to settle in the country and instead stay concentrated in the city - maybe they need to be more spread out.

I don’t even what to contribute to this topic but will for the sake of maybe you’ll learn to try to curb you bigoted racist attitude.

Firstly you numbat how did you get here? When did you immigrate to Australia?

If you were born here then somewhere in your family tree someone wanted a better life and came to this wonderful country for a “fair go”, so why do you believe you have the right to deny anyone else this opportunity for hope and freedom?

Yes these and other people from varying cultures have some assimilation issues but the majority of them are honest and hard working.

The war and terror that some of these individuals have suffered at the hand of criminals and killers is terrible and shocking so you would expect that there would be some elements in this group that will have trouble adjusting to “your” way of life.

The reason our country is on the path to a multi cultural vibrant democratic society is that everyone is welcome to “have a go” and cut out their own niche and try to make something of their life in the land of plenty.

The statement that you made ” John Howard should have won the last election” just shows that you live in a bubble and that anything you disagree with is wrong and is such a narrow minded view.

Bring on the flame and blame because people like you make my country a little bit worse for having you live here. Oh, and if you believe it’s so bad “Get off of your fat arse, crawl out from under your rock and go and help with this situation.

Maybe some facts first, with sources. If the figure is 35,000 over several years, then so what?

If the figure is 35,000 this year, then it is a big lie.

After stealing this country from the previous occupants, I am sure plenty of racists feel we should keep it all to ourselves.

As for immigrants, I am fine with them coming into the country (legally of course) as long as they respect our way of life and integrate, making a contribution to Australia.

Unfortunantly there is a number of them that dont do this which becomes a problem. Anyone that stands up against the slackers gets labelled as a rascist and it subsequently becomes a big issue

I am not sure about the figures of 35,000. Sounds a bit over the top. Maybe the op could provide a source for this?
