One of the advantages of digital information is that the communication method used does not deteriorate the date, the data reaches its destination or not, just that.

That is why some photos from the Mars rovers, for example, have some black areas, areas for which data did not reached its destination.

But when the data reaches its destination, error detection and correction guarantee that the data is as it should be.

So, even if the data has some difficulty in reaching Earth, if it gets here we can see it (if they it to us
), and we can see it as it left Mars, with no interference in the image (in this case), so we see the images as they were stored before transmission.
