Just one more question. Does the debater get to choose which links and references are removed, or is that decided by the Moderator?

The rules stipulate 'in excess of the limit'...so it is already decided...

ADB, that just shows how different things can appear to different people. I don't find the "smoking man" to be malevolent or creepy at all, just enigmatic and manipulative.

[SIGH]

I note, once again, that ATS fighters are some of the best people I've ever known at being deliberately obtuse while maintaining an appearance of mildly puzzled innocence. And you claim not to like manipulative people? *Heike raises one eyebrow*

Shock is a Mod. Ian is not. Ian may have lots of abilities and talents, but he doesn't have any power.

The people who seem to have the power are rarely the ones who really control the world

I once again direct your attention to this thread: www.belowtopsecret.com...

The real power belongs to those who are not seen to apply it.

Unlike some folks, I know when to quit digging.

I've got a debate response to write, see y'all later.

[MemoryShockhide]ADB: Just think about it. Who can take points away from you, kick you out of the debate forum, or even ban you from ATS?[/MemoryShockhide]

Kudos to Mem for that.

Possible debate topic: "Power is truly power only if it comes without corresponding responsibilities, otherwise it's obligation."

Or perhaps that would be better for a thread in your Psychology forum, Sky?

I believe this to be true. A good thread might be "What is power?".

[MemoryShockHide]Actually, I don't think he can ban me from ATS – I think only Admins can do that. And the rest of the actions would be easily reversed on appeal, or averted with batting eyelashes and threats of tears
[/MemoryShockHide]

Not only did Ian piss me off, ensuring that I would return to ATS; he was the first Fighter I was aware of, and therefore responsible for my presence here in FCP. If it weren't for Ian, I would have twice as much available time as I do now, at least

My debate ranking can just as easily be attributed to length of time/experience...

That's strange, it should be the same username/password as ATS/BTS.
