Lost the edit button

I have been staring at one of my posts that I want to edit for several minutes now and can't seem to see it . Have I lost my mind or is the edit button not available or am I just overlooking it? LOL. Maybe I should go to bed.! Please help if possible. Yes, I feel dumb if that matters.
