Let's take a group of Christian children and pound Islam into them for a few weeks, just to see what happens! So much for the home of the free.

Religion is something i feel the individual no matter how young should have a choice in.

Now if the kid's are happy to go to a muslim mosque and learn a little about islam and also learn what a different religion is all about that is fine.

Let's face it it's one week right ? Whatever they take in will be lost in a few day's ?

Infact it's a great thing for the kid's to do to open there mind's and experiance new thing's.

However if they dont want to go then they again should be given a choice.

Never force anything on a child for pitty's sake.

What we DO need to find out is ARE the children being roped into it ?

Or is this just an activity to help the children understand what another culture is all about ?

Here in england where i live my kid's went to a mosque for the day and they loved it.

There's no harm in it.

Take care.

Regards
Lee

P.S

I am neither christian nor muslim.

Why take a group of children and pound any kind of religion into their heads? Even children should be free of programming..christian, islamic..satanic or any other type.

IIRC, isn't WorldNetDaily the website of the infamous Sorcha Faal (Such a Fool)?

I notice this article is written by Bob Unruh--"Unruhe" means "unrest" in German.

lol.

Hey, you guys wanted to push for creationism being permitted into schools.

I kept saying that means ANY religion, not just yours, could be taught, so long as it involves creationism.

Well... perhaps now people will wake up and realize why religion in schools is a bad thing.

Religion has NO PLACE in schools. It should be removed immediately.

Here's the scenario.

You want creationism in schools. You didn't specify that it had to be Christian Creationism.

Teachers realize they have to teach creationism... but have a problem... the children they are teaching have already been taught about the Christian God. They have to teach something, and repeating what the children already know simply isn't education.

So the teachers are left with no other option but to teach the children about a god other than the Christian God.
Hence, YOUR children will be taught Islam, Hindu, Wicca, and pretty much every religion on the face of the planet EXCEPT for Christianity.

and the best part is... YOU asked for it.

We saw this coming, I attempted to warn some of you, but hey... after a while, I started to realize it would be far funnier just to watch you destroy your own religion yourselves.

Well, enjoy.

The difference in a prominently Christian America, why confuse our kids with Islam? If your family believes in Islam, let them teach it to their kids. This shouldn't be a public matter. If my child ever comes home from a public school with books on islam.

religion should be banned to anyone under the age of 21..after that you can make your own choice and not brain washed by fairy stories for the sake of making money..

I agree with that statement, let the child make up there own mind, a relationship with God is there own choice. The parents have the responcibility of putting there child on the right track, not the gov, the gov and the lobbiests or other religious organizations should not be allowed to force children to do anything while they are at school. I believe that athiesism (which is a religion) should not be taught either, let the kids decide weather they want to believe in God or not.

Being a parent I trusted my gut instinct on this and filled the brains of my children with factual information but kept the mysterious alive and well in their lives. They learned to ask questions and found faith in themselves first then faith in many other things as adults. Critical thinking first.. it armed them with the abilities to sift through the propoganda.

Faith is not something that can be taught..however the history of a particular religion is. Preaching should never be allowed in a school.

i agree preaching shouldnt be allowed and no way do i condone that
(as in try and convert and so on)
but i do support schools teaching kids on diffrent religions.
as giving kids info on on the religion and so on so they know the faiths of others.
that way they wont be so ignorant of others when they are older.

I agree. I think kids should be taught about EVERY culture they may encounter..
What good is knowing how the Mayans acted or cavemen ? Whens the last time you met either?

Our kids are getting taught junk knowledge.. Don't get me wrong . I think they should know about our past .. But our current and future . Should be first and foremost..

History should be taught so it don't repeat itself.

here is the article I posted on a christian fired for preaching to muslim students.
Let me clarify, a coach was fired, because his ASSISTANT, on personal time, gave the gospel to muslim students. This is what would have happened thew other way around.
