City centre sealed off by police

news.bbc.co.uk

A part of Leicester city centre has been sealed off to allow police to deal with reports of a "suspicious package".

Charles Street, Belgrave Gate and Churchgate - located near the city's two main shopping centres - were closed by police.

A controlled explosion has taken place to deal with the suspicious package.

Eyewitness Ankur Desai, of Leicester, said he had seen a man being arrested by police officers during the incident in the city centre.

which is alarming is this is similar to what happened in Exeter, and worrying for me, there has been two bomb alerts in the last 48 hours in my home city of Canterbury.

www.abovetopsecret.com...

Of course, linking everything over the last two weeks would be stupid. But I think we should be careful in the UK. Security alerts are happening all over the place

Hmm, very strange.

Mind you, it seems that attacks are moving away from London and towards other areas of the United Kingdom now - there have been incidents in Birmingham, Glasgow and so on in the past couple of years.

Definitely something to keep an eye on...

Yeah, it is weird the sudden spread across the United Kingdom.

However, it seems to be mostly idiots and the police are having no problem with their investigations.
