SERPO the Movie

I just discovered this movie trailer for SERPO the Movie.

The year is 2016. After making contact with an outside alien race, a team of specialists has been assembled to be part in a secret exchange program between Earth and the planet, Serpo.

On their way to the strange alien world, the team learns that there is more to these guarded beings then once thought, as they find themselves in the middle of a planetary war.

Now, the team must stop at nothing before that war is brought
back home.

Did I miss something...I thought the whole SERPO story was a pretty tame affair, non of this "Worlds at War stuff".

I think this trailer done by Nanimation Inc. is just an attempt to drive hits to their website.

The SERPO story would make a great film, but I was thinking more of the Gene Rodenberry "peace and togetherness" angle.

Wonder why they stole a lot of footage from "Babylon 5"?

Looks like a fan made movie trailer to me.It would make a good movie thou.

I was wondering if the serpo site guys made this movie for the money or was it produced by someone else to "fictionalize" the serpo story so that noone would ever take it seriously? (not that many do take the story seriously, but anyway)

As asked above, I also wonder why they changed the story to this action type film compared to the long slow "boring" story that is presented on the website?
